I appreciate this way more now than before because I now know the actors and actresses, especially Wooshik. I only knew Seo Joon back then and had a little crush on him so I watched this but then I didnt know he only had a cameo. (I knew Seo Joon before I discovered BTS. In fact, when I watched Hwarang, I didnt know V as a member of BTS). But now, it's awesome to watch it again because I know everyone now (at least by face). Plus, you were right, they were actually too many details that I missed back then so I like this movie way more now than before. I'm enjoying it a lot!

I recommend watching K drama next time! The English title is Extraordinary Attoney Woo. It's the story of an autistic lawyer, and every episode was touching. These are also stories that have a lot to think about. Overall, it's a bright and fun atmosphere, so I really want to recommend it. It's on Netflix, so please check it out.

So there’s actually a lot of nuances in this film that obviously we as non Koreans may not fully grasp but I wanted to mention just this one thing like when wooshik first came to her house she acted like she was giving him way more money taking into account the inflation but just before that scene if you observe you can see her taking out some money from the original amount before she put it into the envelope so she was actually giving him less - so even tho the rich family may seem all innocent but they were not all that good to the working class

Also the symbolism with the rock- its actually not a real rock it’s a fake one that’s why it floated when their house flooded instead of sinking down meaning it doesn't really have much mass inside it that’s why wooshik was able to survive and also the ending many people think Kevin could never buy that house in his lifetime in that current Korean economy

Next month (or next week hehe) I’d love to see more Parasite content - Interviews & explanation vids because as you said, this movie is so layered and once you find all the hidden secrets, it really amplifies how great the plot AND the cast are!

It was so fun to watch this again with you!😆 Parasite swept the awards that year. And Director Bong Joon-ho's acceptance speech was a hot topic, so it would be fun to look it up. Personally, I was impressed by the Oscar and Golden Globe awards acceptance speeches. I hope you watch these two things. He is witty and well spoken. He is the most famous Korean director. Another famous director is Park Chan-wook. Namjoon's favorite movie Decision to Leave is directed by Park Chan-wook. The other films of them are also very famous, good and genius.

I heard that the director used 'up and down' / 'line' symbols a lot. As you know going up or down symbolizes a hierarchical society by money, rich poor gap. And sometimes there's a ‘line’ between characters. For example, there is a scene where a driver went to an interview, a scene where a housekeeper wakes up a rich mother, etc. And the rich father keeps emphasizing not to cross the line. He pretends to be a polite person, but he continues to implicitly ignore the poor people. I think it refers to the line between rich and poor that is difficult to overcome in modern society. Btw, but it’s not that rich people always live in high places like mountains and poor people always live in low places in Korea. There is a place 'daldongne(poor hillside village)', and on the other way Gangnam, one of the rich areas, is one of the places that is always in trouble when it rains due to its low altitude and poor drainage. However, the rich will not have to worry about living in such areas because they will live in safe and nice apartments or houses, but the poor who live in semi-basements in any area will suffer.

As for the rich family's eldest daughter, we actually don't pay much attention to her when we watch the movie. Just like her parents. Looking back, there are constant scenes of her parents caring about her youngest son, but there are almost no scenes of them thinking about her. Crucially, it makes you wonder if they are discriminating her in the ‘Jjapaguri’ scene. The reason for her parents' discrimination may be that they prefer a youngest child, or it may be a sexism or because of his trauma or all of them. The cause is not known, but we can tell that she lacks affection, which is why she likes Woo-shik, an adult older than her, and craves his affection. This is not the main topic, but it is a part where you can see the details of the movie.

The picture drawn by my youngest son resembles the face of the man in the basement! The way the rich mother continues to mix English and English pronunciation is a satire on people who try to look cool when they are not. That is weird and funny point from a Korean perspective. Lastly, fun fact, The person Seojun is trying to confess to is not a student, but his rich mother. He didn't say who, and we naturally assumed it’s a student, but we can tell from the part where the rich mom weirdly praises Seojun. And it’s from the director…

Familia, Yoo Mi won Best Leading Actress at the Blue Dragon Film Awards for the movie Sleep. I haven't watched that movie but it's on my list and I'll watch it again with you if you react to it. It's a thriller movie about sleeping disorder and Yoo Mi's husband is the one with that illness. Seems like a very exciting movie! These are all thriller. I'm not much into rom com unless one of my fave actors/actresses is there. If you want Park Seo Joon movies, there's Dream, Concrete Utopia, and Divine Fury. All of these are good.

hello familia! this was such a fun watch! parasite is definitely one of the best movies i've ever watched. as for this tier, i really liked this month's format: watching a couple different non-bts variety content you guys are interested in and one or more movie nights!! as always my recommendation for variety show is going seventeen lol

park chan-wook is one of my favorite directors ever, the handmaiden is one of my favorite movies of all time. i thought about recommending that as a movie for the familia to watch, but i think it'd be a bit too rated r for them lmao

Hellooss... I had watched D movie Recently as I was im "Dive into Wooga squad Rabbithole" Phase.. Lol.. But it was more exciting to watch with u guys... Especially D part wer U saw Someone "Ahem" cameo haha.. My favvvv.... Ur reactions was priceless... Wenever I have a favorite part or anything.. Such a good reaction! You guys should watch a Korean movie ‘CALL’. It’s basically about this girl who uses a phone in her new house and the phone is connected to an another girl 20 years in the past and that girl was a serial killer. It’s kind of a thriller but so good!!
