And now we're back to the juicy stuff! Swan makes a strong showing for herself in this chapter, I'd say.

I suppose now's as good a time as any to touch on how Gaogaigar influenced this story, obviously if you see it you know it's a lot. As well as Swan being the head of Mighty Guard, the entire organization is quite similar to the GGG with their gutsy, die-hard atittude and the Geomorphs share a lot of similarities with the Zonders (enemy cores that take on forms based on their point of origin and humanoid Generals that are more intelligent being the main ones). I have Rei to thank for introducing me to the anime in the first place so it came up often in our discussions of what about to do for Rakuraizer's story.

It's a fun anime and if you like Rakuraizer I definitely recommend checking it out... about the only element that didn't make it into this story in some form or another was the immense number of A.I. controlled giant robots which never really gelled with me. Goldymarg is still a champ though.

So where are Primarda, Renais and Utsugi you might be wondering? I suppose they could've easily made their way into the story instead of other girls but it just felt like there were higher priorities at the time of drafting the list haha

A Rakuraizer update a week after the first. That was quick! Gotta say I didn't expect Kenta to have a moment with Swan but in a way, it shows mental fortitude despite how mentally wrecked he must have been. He goes to inform the director of what just happened. Swan, being Swan if she's anywhere like GGG's swan is not about to let Kenta die unless that's really the way the cookie crumbles. The GGG squad was not above pulling off heroic sacrifices but only if all other options were exhausted. After their conversation, neither wants to be alone (Well, she didn't want him to be alone, and things happen. Glad, her time wasn't on a table of all things (Yeah, weird thing to nitpick about). Either way, story continues. Time to see how Sunset takes....unless Swan asks/orders him not to say anything. Sunset's gonna find out anyway and be pissed he didn't trust her with the info. Only future chapters will tell.

Oh yes, I was feeling like we were behind on chapters a bit. I'd ideally like to do at least 10 chapters of this each year, so we've got a bit to go before we hit that for 2022. I'm putting a few out all at once. And yeah, the point of bonding with Swan was to help Kenta at a time when he'd temporarily lost faith in Mighty Guard. I know a lot of other stories would take the opportunity to sow discord and have him doubting the organization and leading to some misunderstanding, but it's not that sort of thing. Swan is an angel and she would immediately correct him. She's also sort of got that cheerleader vibe? When a guy in Kenta's position is flagging, a girl like Swan wants to help him recover mentally which was a good lead-in for the intimacy. It's easy to imagine her doing that sort of thing and plays into her role in Gaogaigar with Guy. I don't recall if Sunset finds out, I'll have a more clear answer about that as I go over the drafts again getting them ready to post.
