Hey!

While drafting some ideas I had for other stories I realized that I’m an idiot! Unfortunate. Anyways, my questionable foresight aside, I realized that if I wait till February to post the poll for my secondary story I’ll have to spend at least the first week waiting on results since I want to give everyone time to answer. Instead of having to deal with that delay figured I’d do it now.

By the way, this is mostly for me to gauge interest. Plans don’t always go the way we want to so a good idea I have might not be developing well enough by the time February rolls around or my interest might change. Want to choose something I’m dedicated to writing while getting in a word from you all.

Let’s jump right into it.

My Hero Academia: The Bloody Mess

Summary (This summary is sort of meant to be read like an actual narrator rather than the MC’s perspective. Think like the narrator from Baki or Love Is War):

His parents were vain.

At only a single year of age, young Katsuya Toga came to that realization. And he was not wrong, money and status constantly at the front of their minds. Which did they crave more? With so little experience and a limited understanding of the world despite his strangely enhanced mental capabilities, he could not say but he did know one thing.

Both served the other, creating a never ending cycle.

Soon he learned they weren’t just vain. They were selfish idiots.

A realization that cemented itself at only four years old, when his twin sister, Himiko Toga, developed her quirk. Born as little more than accessories meant to help fit the image the couple had of themselves, her quirk, coming with unnatural cravings for blood, put her on the receiving end of their parents’ ire.

She was to suppress and hide what society deemed the freakish part of her quirks.

He went along with it not to please his parents but for his and the safety of his twin sister.

For, unbeknownst to his parents, Young Katsuya Toga had learned one damning detail about his own quirk, one he’d been keeping hidden since his birth. The urge, the insatiable hunger, the raw force of nature demanding that he feed was not satisfied by animals, his own spilled blood, or blood packs. What he needed, what the dark force within screamed for, was fresh blood from another, willing or unwilling.

His solution? Be the perfect member of society, the perfect student, then the perfect hero.

After all, committing crimes in the nation protected by All Might was just asking to be arrested. More importantly, no one would suspect one of the top hero’s protecting them to be draining a few people here and there. And if he were ever caught? Well, it was just an honest mistake that could be forgiven, after all, it was all being done to protect innocent people from dangerous criminals, right?

But society was often as vain as his very own parents.

Naturally, becoming a hero with even half the respect of a cultural icon like All Might meant graduating from UA. Something young Katsuya’s twin sister wasn’t going to let him do alone.

Elden Ring; Maedryn of the Frenzied Flame

Summary:

Reborn as a demigod within the safety of a thriving dynasty, Eric should've been thrilled by the opportunity. A chance to wield magic. A chance to discover foreign lands. A chance to lay eyes on mythical beasts. What fantasy lover wouldn't drool over a situation like that?

Problem was, his reincarnation brought him to The Lands Between: a cruel world fated for suffering yet to come. If that wasn't bad enough he was reborn as Maedryn, one of three triplets born to Lord Radagon and Queen Marika, Malenia and Miquella being his twins. Mirroring them, he too was born cursed.

Cursed to house the Frenzied Flame.

The assassination of Godwyn the Golden, the Shattering, and all the suffering and chaos that would follow. Eric, now Maedryn, must prepare to survive the whirlwind of catastrophe all while contending with a searing flame eating away at him beneath the surface and all the dark impulses that come with his curse.

Skyrim: The Crystaline Adventurer

Summary:

A world of pollution and endless war. Enlisted into the military from a young age he’d spent most of his life as just another cog in the machine that was his nation. Doing his part as it was always told to him.

Utter bullshit.

But he did as he was told, surviving suicide mission after suicide mission. What other choice did he have with the alternative was being arrested and sent to prisons that none ever left?

None at all.

Or at least that’s what he thought.

A mission gone wrong and the discovery of a strange crystal worlds away rips him away from his and strands him in the heart of a land known as Skyrim. Rather than seeing it as a bad thing or desperately seeking out some way to returns, he seizes the opportunity, deciding to make the most of his life in this new world.

Naturally there will also be an option to just continue the Elden Ring story I already got posted. Check out my profile on webnovel if you want to learn more about it. Now for those only interested in voting just skip past everything else. The rest is just my opinion and a little expanding on each of the ideas.

Off rip, the ones I’m most interested in are the MHA and new Elden Ring ideas. MHA might take the lead there since the MC is a bit different than any I’ve written. While he hasn’t fully crossed the threshold over due to Himiko, he was born a boarderline psychopath due to supernatural aspects of his quirk. A lot of his blood abilities will be inspired by all sorts of media that feature blood users but Big Choso from jujutsu Kaisen will be the main one. The other aspect of his quirk is heavily inspired by the deep cut known as The Darkness: a game from like 2000s I played back on the 360. Think of it like dark shadow but, well, much darker and ominous in nature. Himiko will also be a big character in it since they’re twins.

The Elden Ring one is a bit, well odd. Straight going to start with a warning that the thing that rhymes with incense is up in that story. The MCs related to Marika and just about every other major character is too so…eh its not like it’s a first for the universe. I’m just following the pattern that’s been set. Other than that the summary covers a lot of the main story stuff. Set way before the shattering so all the demigods will be major players rather than mortals. Should be interesting.

The Skyrim one is just neat. I don’t have much to say about it other than its transmigration rather than reincarnation. Oh and the main party will be a small party/kind mercenary group of OCs /and or might feature characters from mods. Skyrim just kinds of lends itself to go crazy with a small party and all having different reasons for exploring the land, leading to all the different in game content when writing.Might have it take place a good bit before the civil war has fully taken off so they have time before dragons show up.

And finally back around to my old Elden Ring story. Kind of started that with smut as my main focus, developed a way stronger interest in writing than expected and the whole head space is kind of different now. Still interested in finishing it one of these days cause I actually did make something interesting, at least to me, despite the reason behind the shallow reason for its creation, but I’m need to enter the right head space. Still would like to know how much interest there is in it.

Interested in seeing what you all think!

From my point of view, all three sound pretty good, but the one that interests me most right now is Elden Ring. I haven't seen many stories about the game or Skyrim, so that would be interesting. As for My Hero Academia, I'm not a big fan of protagonists who focus on being psychopaths. I've read some that I didn't like, but it still sounds interesting.

I feel you on that last bit. The main focus on that story would be pulling him away from that through Himiko and his friends rather than leaning into the edginess though. My hero's main theme is saving people after all.

Wolfchosen2379

Something like a tsundere? Or someone who changes through love (usually or with incense, xdxd) and friendships? Or something like, "My family is awful, but I won't be as awful, even if I go crazy sometimes," something like that? In any case, it sounds interesting (I don't want any spoilers, xdxd).

Oh nah lol, Himiko definitely wouldn't be a pairing option lol. But yeah. The plan is for everyone at UA, especially the actually genuinely kind to the point of breaking his own body Deku, to change his perspective on others and life in general. Izuku really does come off as crazy when you look back at everything he's done for others. But I won't go any deeper than that.

Huh, reading these I'm tempted to go in and steal your idea but go for the dark route lol. Imaging twin brother of Himeko trying to protect her at all costs and then they end up doing something drastic because something has to break after 14 years of pressure. Now they're on the run or they've covered it up I don't know but they have to live with it and they start spiraling. As for my actual opinions lol, I don't really fw the idea that the MC changes his worldview once he sees Deku and the others, just cause I think a true psychopath/sociopath would just catalog them as idiots and use their kindness to his advantage. I also just don't like the shounen mindset in general lol, so take all my opinions with a grain of salt. There's also a recent fanfic that's a Choso in MHA fanfic that's been popping off iirc. Read it a little, didn't really like choso's powers (they seem kind of boring I'm ngl) so I dropped the fic. Maybe the author just mishandled his powers (I've never read jjk so idk) but it basically boiled down to body enhancement and manipulating blood outside the body (please do correct me if I'm wrong). The elden ring fanfic does look interesting though, idk wtf the plotline of that story would be though, shit's complicated but I'd definitely read it. TLDR; Prolly won't read the MHA fic, the elden ring one looks hella interesting (also, these are literally all just a singular person's opinions so please don't let them affect anything author, diff people have diff tastes).

We all got to yap sometimes lol. But yeah in the MHA story I was going to make it pretty clear, or at least I think I would, that the MC's quirk predisposes him toward psychopathic tendencies but he isnt actually one. His relationship with Toga would've made that clear but thanks to his parents, he grows up leaning into it, seeing most people as no different from them. I personally like MHA for its optimistic messages and stuff so I would've stuck to the theme by having Deku and the others lead him away from that kind of thinking but I don't blame anyone for not being fully interest in it. We get a lot of redemption type stuff. The Elden Ring is definitely going to be something since it's a lot of preshattering content. In other words I can go wild with the lore and characters we don't normally see across fanfics. Or at least the one I've read. Whatever I choose it'll be an interesting time for me though.
