Vrrrmmm!

Himiko groaned, turning over, her head pressing into cool cushion. She reached out, feeling around but finding nothing other than sheets and pillows. That would’ve been normal just a week or two ago. With another groan, she forced open an eye as she rose up, a loud yawn leaving her.

Within a small room she laid alone on a surprisingly comfortable futon.

He must’ve already started training. Himiko realized, letting out another loud yawn as she fell back. Reaching just beside the futon she pulled her phone off the charger, returning the texts from Tsu and Ochaco, both checking in on them.

After blinking and yawning away as much of her grogginess as possible, she got up, sliding open the doors to the small room and stepping out into the long wooden halls of the dojo, a number of sliding doors passed before she ended up in a small but more modern looking kitchen. One of the water bottles they brought with them grabbed from the fridge, she headed towards the main training hall.

This place was so strange.

Working electricity. Plumbing. Her phone getting a signal at all here. Katsu said it was some kind of pocket dimension and she was no expert on quantum mechanics, but she didn’t see how a place like this would have all that.

Unless it was magic.

Rounding the matting of the training hall’s central sparring area, Himiko stepped out one of the already open doors leading out to the garden and took a seat on the steps.

Katsu, dipping and dodging between them, was already back in a training gi with one of the real katanas stored across this place in hand, all his focus on four of those giant things he called demons.

At this point, there was no point in calling all this anything but magic. There were quirks that really pushed it, plenty of theories floating around about there being more to quirks than a biological factor, but none of the examples in those books matched up to all this. Where would a biological explanation even begin? She couldn’t imagine any kind of mutation leading to summoning creatures, creating a portal to a different dimension, or-

Avoiding a pair of slashes from those demons’ axes, Katsu crouched down, sword slid back into the sheath at his waist and vanished.

BOOOM!

Deafening thunder filled the air before she caught sight of him again, Katsu having shot clean between the approaching demons, their weapons cut apart.

That right there too. He didn’t use any lightning that time but how did breathing a certain way suddenly make him so fast?

Leaning back, she shrugged it off, focusing on Katsu himself as his fight continued with those demons. They might’ve been on the slow side but with how durable they were, the katana barely cutting them unless he used that insane speed of his, and their relentlessness, the things not stopping to take a breath at all, he was forced to stay on the move. Katsu himself usually wasn’t one to end up out of breath so quickly but that special breathing he said he’d be practicing with was pushing it, grazes leaving behind bleeding knicks, while blocks actually managed to bruise him.

Despite that, the look he always had, pure focus overwriting everything else, stayed in place.

Himiko couldn’t help smiling as she watched him.

He said he’d got something from that magic of his recently to help him stay focused but the way she saw it, there wasn’t much of a difference. Katsu had a weird focus and determination when it came to everything; back when he’d started practicing Karate, she’d seen him nearly break his fingers only to be studying an hour later. Sure, her blood helped but she really couldn’t have seen herself doing that, magic or not.

Not that she was complaining. She liked being the center of that intense focus sometimes.

Watching some of the blood gather, leaking across and flying off his body, Himiko licked her lips.

And there was something about seeing Katsu like that, so focused on his training that he didn’t care about being a little beat up, that captivated her, thirst rising all the while.

But now wasn’t the time for that.

Himiko stood up, heading back into the dojo.

She might not be able to train as hard as he did but she did have more things she wanted to work on.

Himiko pressed her left hand to the dojo’s wooden walls. Then the right. Trying to move herself higher, a foot followed suit only for her to unceremoniously slide right off the smooth surface.

Disappointing but expected.

Glancing over towards the rows of hung up katanas, she thought better of going for those, and focused on the rack of wooden ones far below. Cheek turned away from them, she snapped her head back in their direction, her tongue shooting out and completely knocking the rack over, the training swords clattering as they spilled onto the ground.

How does Tsu control this thing? Himiko thought as her long tongue snapped back into her wide open mouth, that part at least easy enough.

Katsu had used up most of the blood Tsu had given them for his training but left enough for her to try some things out. Craving aside, she’d been really curious how her quirk would deal with one that veered so far on the mutant side of things.

So far it worked exactly how it did with Katsu’s.

Whether it be a partial transformation or a full one like she was doing now, all of Tsu’ defining features were there and usable. A pair of pretty strong legs, all the splintered wood and holes scattered across the dojo’s main training hall created by a little testing of their strength. Larger than usual eyes that actually weren’t for show; she wasn’t sure if Tsu knew it or not, but her peripheral vision was far larger and way clearer than hers or Katsu’s. The larger than normal hands and mouth, the latter housing a tongue both long and strong enough to do plenty.

All of that, the permeant mutations of Tsu’s quirk, were usable if a bit foreign to her.

But for the life of her she couldn’t replicate Tsu’ ability to stick to stuff. According to Tsu, she’d been doing it for so long now that she didn’t have to think about it anymore, but it was something that had to be activated.

It would’ve been another perfect thing for sneaking around and messing with Katsu, but this was still cool.

Taking a breath, Himiko let go of the faint pressure that came with her quirk, her transformation melting away. She stepped out of the thick run off, stretching out. It’d be a while before she was used to the way Tsu’s body felt and she didn’t have nearly enough blood to get to working on that.

But she did have a whole lot of Katsu’s blood, plenty stored back at their place.

Taking out one of the vial’s she brought with her, Himiko tipped her head back and drunk down the whole thing, savoring the taste and rush of strength as she underwent a full transformation.

Despite all the differences, his body felt no different than her own sometimes.

Rather than basking in it too long, she closed her eyes, focusing intently on that strength. Among everything he could do, the thing he called Removal didn’t sound too far off from a quirk but if all this really was some magic changing his body, then activating it might not have anything to do with how her quirk worked.

She wasn’t sure if she’d actually be able to do it, but she’d keep trying.

The stronger she was, the better.

The taste of my own blood on my tongue. That familiar sensation of Removal, like weights being taken off my back. The swelling of my lungs and rush of power traveling down to my legs.

Chasing me down, the demons I summoned rushed ahead all at once, one going as far as to drive another out of its way in a single minded effort to hit me with its giant axe. These demons were intensely driven and resilient to the point of not only shrugging off ordinary slashes or stabs but outright ignoring the deep cuts Thunder Breathing allowed me to get in on them.

But they weren’t very smart.

The Fourth Form would be perfect for this.

With them all gathered up and slowing themselves down by pushing into each other, none of them were prepared for my rush forward or the wall of four slashes that dismantled what remained of their weapons and completely sliced through their sturdy bodies, the group vanishing before their blood hit the ground.

Pain flooded my chest the moment I released my breath, but I paid it no mind, my attention drawn to the vanishing blood along my flame coated blade.

That felt…different.

Even if they were my summons, powerful but mindless ones I wouldn’t trust to do anything more than fight, cutting into them had been easy.

Frightening easy.

The pain of my heart’s quick thumps after comboing all that together eased but the thumps themselves remained loud and quick. I couldn’t help the readjusting of my grip on the katana nor the nagging temptation to summon another demon despite finally running out of energy, the flame around the blade tapering out.

Worrying about whether or not HK or any of my other familiars would come back after being killed. Never wanting to actually subject Himiko to same intense level of training I’d come to enjoy. And now, training at U.A. with our fellow students.

This was different compared to all that. While I did enjoy the work of training, I couldn’t say I’d ever seen much appeal in having to hurt the people I trained with.

Strangely enough, I think I was looking forward to getting enough energy to summon one of those things again despite how odd that felt. Maybe drinking blood all the time desensitized me to the sight of it in any situation. Or maybe this was another aspect of the Kure trait kicking in.

Letting go of the katana, my arms fell further than intended, shoulders slacking as the aching pain across my body intensified, my legs reduced to jelly. Yep, just like I thought. Combining all that pushed me far ahead of what I was capable of with just my quirk, but my training hadn’t fully prepared me for something like that.

Rather than heading back to the dojo, I let myself fall back among the flowers and grass of the garden, gazing up at the full moon above, the clear skies full of glimmering stars.

This place was something else, all the damage from Saturday’s training having been fixed up all on its own. The same thing would probably happen overnight, however the Gacha sustained this place ensuring nothing would be able to permanently damage its beauty.

That starry sky was blocked by Himiko stepping over me.

She made for a far better sight though. Speaking of-

“Did your boobs get bigger?”

“Of course that’s the first thing you notice. I thought I was the perv here.” Himiko said, smiling impishly. “Just testing out the last of Tsu’s blood. I think its going to let us do some interesting things.” Her tongue shot out like a whip, the extraordinarily long thing smacking my forehead. “Dammit.” She cursed, voice a bit off as her tongue returned. “Sorry. I meant to lick the cut on your cheek.”

The beautifully freaky Himiko truly did not miss an opportunity.

I raised an arm, intending to stand up but ended up just falling back on the bed of grass. Himiko took that as a sign to join me, sitting down and taking my head onto her lap, her thighs also having a bit more size to their softness. The perfect pillow after a day of literally nothing but training.

It almost made me forget the aching soreness.

Almost.

Between Thunder Breathing, other rolls, and everything I’d prepared ahead of time, I was sure the USJ incident would be at least manageable. Assuming it played out exactly as I expected. If things somehow got worse, then, at the very least, I needed to be sure I was strong enough to protect her and Aunt Nozomi.

Fact was, if only a portion of my abilities became known among anyone associated with him, I’d have to deal with the possibility of being a substantiable target in All For One’s eyes. I have no idea why the league never targeted Midoriya’s parents, but I wasn’t about to take the chance on that card never being played against me.

And that Gene Seed Ticket was the perfect thing to do away with my current struggles here and now.

(A/N: Toga finally gets to fully test out blood other than Katsu's and of course, it's Tsu's. For now that's how her quirk will work in relation to other quirks. If there's any natural physical aspect to them that always present, typical of mutant type quirks, she gets access to that stuff but the moment in requires conscious activation its beyond her current reach. My way of understanding how Toga's quirk would work based off Aizawa's explanation on how his works and some other details from the manga.

Anyways, I definitely have a problem with hyper fixation. Took me a minute to realize getting those Nier games was getting in the way of me writing and I might have to put off playing that until I'm done with this story otherwise I'll just stop updating to speed my way through those games. Or maybe I need to follow Toga's example and better control myself, striking a better balance between my hobbies.

For now I'll just shelve the game though.)
