MHA Chaos' Whims Chapter 49: Proper Confessions (R-18 Lite) (Patreon)
Content
(A/N: Honestly wasn't sure how to tag this. Anyways, there's R-18 mixed in at the start but the whole chapter's all plot relevant. Just kind of felt like the most fitting way for Toga to handle what goes on in the chapter rather than meaning to be real smut.)
Waking up to Himiko had quickly become a part of my every day. Waking up with her on top of me in one way or another was also a part of that.
Straddling me, Himiko’s hands were pressed to my chest just over my heartbeats. Or rather, heartbeats. Perfectly mirroring my original one, rhythmic beats from the right side of my chest signaled the existence of a second heart. Her eyes were closed, she listening to the beats by the looks of things.
Waking up to her was always nice but between the dark starry skies of the Dojo behind her and her long mess of hair wafting along with the cool breeze passing by, she looked especially beautiful.
Her eyes opened, her sharp yellow eyes boring into mine.
“Did you mean it?” She whispered. “What you said last night?”
The exhaustion from being fresh out of that surgery, that heaviness still weighing down my body now, blurred things a bit to the point I half expected to wake up back on that damn operating table, but I remembered the tail end clearly.
“I did.” I said.
“Even though I’m clingy?”
“That just means I’ll never get lonely.”
Himiko’s bottom lip curled. “Even though I’m always trying to slack off?”
“You keep me from burning myself out.”
“Even though my mind is in the gutter?”
“That keep things interesting.”
“Even-Even though-“ Himiko’s voice cracked, her eyes dropping to my chest and parts of her hair covering her face. “-I’ve been using you?”
“That’s a funny way of saying we’re perfect for each other.” Ignoring my exhaustion, I raised myself a bit. “You think I got as strong as did just because of some hard work or luck?” Cupping her cheek, I brushed aside some of her hair, drawing her eyes back to mine. “I’ve been drinking your blood every day for nearly a year just so I could train more so don’t go saying something like that. There’s nothing wrong with helping someone you love or being helped by them.”
Himiko’s lip fully curled, those budding tears only growing.
Shit. Did I say something wrong or-
She shot forward, lips pressed to mine. Tongues joined the fierce kiss, blood not far behind when we inevitably nicked ourselves on each other’s teeth before we separated.
Her hands finding mine, a rush of strange noise and her strength caught me by surprise as she forced me down, arms pushed above my head. Now she wasn’t stronger than me. Even now, exhausted I was, that was true. Maybe even more so than ever before.
But for a moment her entire body seemed to swell before retightened, her muscles compact around her athletic build. The noise from her body might’ve been all new to me, but I recognized that change when I saw it, a bit more muscle to her across the board.
“Are you-“
“I love you.” Himiko declared before keeping me quiet with another kiss, interlocking our fingers together as she lowered herself over me. At the same time, she adjusted her lower half, locking her soft thighs around the hard case of morning wood that’d been poking against her this whole time.
With Himiko unwilling to end that kiss, her tongue pressing against and earnestly overpowering mine as she started rubbing the tightening hold her thighs formed around my dick, thoughts about her finally using my quirk melted away.
Himiko, not just intent on remaining on top, used her newfound strength to press down and stop any movement from me. It didn’t matter though, she all on her own managing to use the soft pressure to draw out a load of cum from me. It was only then that she ended the hard kiss she’d started, breathless but an unusual focus to her eyes.
“Himi, wait a min-“
“I love you.” She declared again, this time properly adjusting herself and taking me into her, another kiss silencing the both of us. I don’t think she was the least bit concerned about finally managing to copy my quirk or the fact that’d we’d intended on catching an early train back to the city for school.
And for the first time I wasn’t sure I had the energy to keep up with her.
I failed to fight off a long yawn, tracking the quickly approaching lights of our ride back to the city.
I smelled Tsu before the braking train came to a stop. That was no insult to her, in fact, compared to the rest of the things battering my new and vastly improved senses, she, smelling like sour apples mingled with an earthy scent unique to her that I’d never noticed before, was actually pleasant.
As the train doors opened, I held back another yawn, leading a humming Himiko over to the car she was in. Nearly empty, Himiko found Tsu instantly, taking the lead. Mornings exchanged as we took our seats beside her, I ended up tuning out their conversation, grimacing.
Despite how packed trains got, they were remarkable clean. At least surface level clean according to my nose. I guess there was only so much public decency, AC, and whatever cleaning routine they adhered to, could do to make a place countless passed through smell appealing or tolerable to those with superhuman senses.
I already didn’t like public transportation, but it was quickly plummeting to be among the things I hated most. Luckily, after some focus, I got my sense of smell under control, only sudden unexpected smells drawing out that sharpened sense.
I focused on sound instead.
The few early commuters scattered across the cars as well as the conductor. Whether it was through the beats of their hearts, phone calls, coughs, or minute shifts to get comfortable, I could pick them all out. The train itself and all its onboard appliances. When I really focused past all that, even animals among the greenery we were speeding past outside.
Through sound alone I could get a damn good idea on where everything around me was.
This one was a bit harder to deal with, anything liable to trigger my focus but-
“-can I, Katsu?”
“Huh?” I questioned, snapping my attention over to Tsu and Himiko, the former’s question lost on me. “Sorry, I’m still a bit tired.” Himiko gave me a cheeky smile, knowing full well she was partly to blame. The exhaustion of that whole procedure was still persisting, her blood not doing much about it. “What’d you say?”
“Can I feel your chest?” Tsu asked.
“That’s a weird question.”
“Weirder than having a second heart? Ribbit.”
Ah, Himiko must’ve said something.
Seeing as she herself wasn’t complaining, I did away with my own hesitation about the request, nodding. Scooting closer and reaching over Himiko, Tsu’s hand tentatively pressed against the left side of my chest. Settling there for a moment, as she brought it over towards the center, her press became firmer, head tilting.
“Wow.” She said, the thumps of both my hearts remaining the same yet sounding far more prevalent with something against my chest. “Is it permanent?”
“I’ve been like this all night.”
“It’s weird, right?” Himiko said, pressing her hand to my chest too. “We’re thinking it might've been a reaction between blood types or maybe some kind of quirk awakening.”
Not a change in her tone. Not the slightest change in expression. Not even anything like a rise in heart rate or change in breath, not that I was sure how to tell someone was lying using these enhanced senses quite yet.
Nothing less than a quirk dedicated to it would be able to pick up on a lie coming from Himiko. I’d rather she didn’t have to, but that boat had sailed the moment I shared all this with her.
Either way, that vague explanation was what I intended on giving to most today. The changes to my body were too extensive to hide, a simple medical checkup or any number of quirks liable to pick up on at least one of the improvements from that surgery. The explanation would also give me a bit of wiggle room to use certain things without raising questions.
But that explanation was for the majority.
I was literally stronger than I was yesterday. How much stronger was still up in the air but some light testing before we left the Dojo behind had confirmed a few things. My quirk’s effectiveness had jumped up in every way. The strain from Thunder Breathing on its own was a thing of the past. Removal, Total Concentration Breathing, my quirk; stacking all that for more than a few minutes was possible.
And the Terraprisma, well, I didn’t see many people dealing with those blades.
I needed to get more practice in before I started running around overestimating myself, but I was sure I was strong enough to actually do a bit more than help All Might in a fight with something dangerous.
I needed to make sure that was known.
“Later.” Throwing out a casual salute to the others, I broke off from them as they stepped out from the stairwell, heading towards class, while I kept heading up.
I’d never been to the principal’s office, even way back during that interview but it was easy to figure out where it was. The directions from all the set up notice boards pointed me where to direct my senses and they took care of the rest.
Baring those with special quirks everyone had similar enough heartbeats.
Himiko’s, curiously enough, was stronger than the norm even when she wasn’t making use of my blood, while Tsu’s heartrate was on the slower side. Midoriya’s rapid beats matched his anxiety around the girls. Yaoyorozu’s was as normal as could be.
Based off what all the directions said, I was confident the quick rapid beats I’d zeroed in on was the principal’s. On top of that, the scent of fur was distinct. I didn’t want to say he smelled like a wild animal or anything, plenty with quirks that gave them off similar scents from what I’ve picked up so far, but it was particularly prevalent on him. It wasn’t something the average person would pick up on, but all his chosen products weren’t able to cover that up anymore.
Is this what Daredevil felt like? The things these senses could tell me felt a little invasive; on the walk to school alone I’d picked out people who hadn’t brushed their teeth, rushed a shower, and much worse despite attempts to hide all that.
Well, as long as I kept that info to myself it didn’t matter.
On one of the highest floors, I stopped outside a tall wooden door at the center of the hall, a plaque indicating that it was principal Nezu’s office.
“Come in!” His muffled voice came from the other side as I prepared to knock. That tracked. Whatever he really was, assuming he had the senses of a human didn’t make much sense. Chances were, the man himself might be one of the people who could pick up on the changes to my body.
I pushed open the door and stepped in.
“Mister Akaguro?” Sitting behind a long wooden desk on a tall cushioned black office chair, Principal Nezu waved me over with a smile. “It’s not often I’m unable to figure out who’s come by to see me. It seems you’ve undergone quite the change. If I’m not mistaken those are two different heartbeats I’m hearing from you.”
As expected. I was just a little more curious about what kind of animal he was to be able to pick up on that so quickly but now wasn’t the time for that.
“That makes things easier. I actually wanted to talk to you about my quirk, sir.” I said, taking one of the two seats seat up in front of his desk.
This was going to be an interesting conversation.
(A/N: Most people get their quirk awakening in life or death situations. Toga got hers in the middle of fitting confession for their relationship. Obviously or not so obviously, she still harbored a few insecurities about her relationship with Katsu, that's clearly unfounded with him of all people given just how much of her blood he's drunk. Ironic that this story stated with him so worried about being anywhere near her/contemplating user her, but the two are absolutely attached at the hip in a way that works for them.
Anyways big convo with Nezu on the horizon. Truly it is crazy to see how much my plans have pivoted after a few rolls. There's definitely a timeline where this may have never happened at all to be honest.)
