Hey!

Hope you're well! Here's the final character concept, I think I spent about 8 hours total or so on this piece, I managed to record this one from start to finish although the last couple videos have minimal commentary because I was so focused on completing the concept. I hope these videos help in some way!

Here is the full video series for the character concept -

This is so cool!! I love watching the process gif. Maybe if you have time in the future you could post a pdf with your process images and have like a little blurb of what you were thinking/trying to accomplish at each step (Just a thought - feel free to ignore lol).

Thanks for sharing Dave. Just found your Patreon after a 3 year hiatus from art. Finding your gumroad orc tutorial on my hard drive got me painting again.

I get that, it's very similar to PS if you did want to jump in, but there's nothing in clip besides the accuracy of the line brushes that can't be done in photoshop. The major difference is just the brush engine behind CSP

Diego Rodriguez

Yes, the brush engine is I like, I wanted some watercolor brushes more realistic, I have Rebelle 3 is perfect for watecolor but is not good for big files and a lot of layers. I found the CSP interface a and screen rendering a little rough compared with the fluency of Photoshop, but I like the brushe engine! Is a dilemma! Here is a link with my work, you can see that I like the colors more "painted", like you. https://www.artstation.com/diego_rodriguez_colorist
