Hey!

Hope you're well! Here's something I've been meaning to cover - working in concept art - I'm just coming off a job working on a video game as a concept artist and, while it's still fresh, I wanted to cover my advice/approach to working on games/movies. I also attached the PSD of the character I show in the video process as well as the brushes - here's the brushes from Jens that I purchased(chalk brush mainly).

I hope that this is helpful to some of you! Please feel free to ask whatever follow up questions you may have regarding concept art below!

Thanks as always for your continued support!

Dave

Hey Dave! If you press and hold the ~ key (aka the tilde key) you can erase without switching tools or anything! 😉

Same with the 'E' key. 'B' puts you in brush mode and then if you press and hold the 'E' key, photoshop puts you into Erase mode, using the brush you have established for the eraser mode. So brush away, hold down E to erase, let go puts you back in brush mode. Really quick and easy.

This seems useful but I'm having difficulty deciphering how this is done. Do you happen to have a link to a resource that breaks this down?

Could we get a step by step video on your layer masking process? I got super confused when you were explaining it...
