I found this owl in this tree while walking with Enzo. I think it’s a great horned owl but perhaps I’m wrong- wouldn’t be the first time! I hear they have spiritual significance- anyone more wise know what it means?? - Nat

I’ve always connected them with Wisdom but ever since watching The Fourth Kind I can only think about aliens when I see them.

You have excellent eyesight because holy shit! I would’ve never been able to see it. I don’t know why owls have become synonymous with spooky shit but I’ve always found them gorgeous and fascinating. One time I was dropping off my friend home and it was dark out and Florida suburbs are like a wolf’s mouth at night. Can’t see nothin’ and there was an owl 🦉 on a mailbox and it was so still we thought her neighbors had installed it while we were out and when I tell you we fucking lost it when it suddenly came to life and took off, reflective eyes flashing in the dark. It took us like a good 20 mins to calm down after the sheer terror and then hilarity/wheeze laughing. They’ve always had a special place in my heart since 😂

I read once that when you see an owl, it’s a sign to take a blind leap of faith.

I know that in Mexico, Mayan culture believed that owls were a sign of death so RIP

Owls definitely have a haunted vibe about them
