Folder Archive

Hey folks! Just a quick mention that I began experimenting with 120fps versions of the standard 2d videos the same way my VR animations do. Burnice is the only release that has it at the moment, would love to know if there's interest in them! I'd like to gradually extend it to past animations as a means of future proofing too.

Anyways here's a folder of all the patron supporter releases for your ease of viewing! You can also find the latest animation archive post through the collections tab.

Please note I'll be refreshing the link every month! The old full archive links will no longer work.

Definitely interested in getting 120FPS versions of the 2D videos. Thanks for always producing such high quality content!

Thanks for all the excellent content nodu and you know I'm definitely interested in it

BigBrute

Just checking, but are you rerendering the animations at 120FPS for these versions or using interpolation? high FPS is nice but I personally don't like how interpolation looks

nodu

Interpolating off the raw frame data, but I can try comparing it with a native 2d 120 render for any differences before moving forward on them. edit: should also add that I *have* tried native 120fps a long while ago for VR to make sure they were similar if not exactly the same quality to native and didn't observe any noticeable differences or quality loss. Could be different for 2d videos though!

Any chance we can get 8K 60FPS VR videos as well? Quest doesn't like 120FPS but 8K looks crisp.

nodu

Is there a particular video you're looking at? My VR stuff should all have both 60 and 120 if it's available in 8K! Some of the older releases went up to 6K 60fps but that's been expanding over time.

PostalP

Whoops, sorry got my accounts confused. Eyro3d was who I was thinking of.

nodu

Haha all good!

Best Zelda

Somewhat related but do you plan to ever do 8K versions of older VR videos? 6K looks nice but 8K looks so much better imo.

nodu

Yeah! Eventually looking to get all of those up to the 8K standard as well, alongside giving their export scales another look.
