Several people have written to me—some think it’s incredible and prefer it because it’s easier now, while others say you can’t use it the way you used to. Here, I’m going to explain the reasons behind the new method, which mods it works with, and the other available options.

1st: To those asking me to make this compatible with a specific person's mod: please understand that to create this unlock mod, I use data from another mod creator (specifically the fifa_ng_db_meta.xml file)—in this case, FIFEr's, since it is the most common one used by many other creators (eSim, Rode, LTA). I cannot create versions for other specific mods because that file is usually not publicly available; however, if you can obtain that file, I would be happy to create a custom unlock mod for anyone who wants one—completely free of charge.

2nd: regarding the switch and the fact that there is no turning back with RDBM—let me explain. With this new method, we can now unlock up to 1,000 boots, whereas with RDBM we were limited to 500. We had already maxed out that ID count, meaning we had to replace existing boots to add new ones; with this method, we simply add new ones without deleting any existing ones. The `playerboots.txt` file is no longer compatible with RDBM because the FET text editor allows you to add more than 500 entries, which corrupts the file for RDBM. Unless they update their app to support unlocking more boots, I don't think we can go back to using it.

3rd: An alternative I can suggest—though I’m not sure if it will work—is using those "unlock mods" that unlock the game's entire catalog (allowing for different outfits, career mode, etc.). Perhaps by using that mod, you’ll be able to use the bootpack alongside other mods without needing my unlock mod.
