Hi there!

There are now over 700 patrons backing Paralives? What! How?! I can't believe it! Thanks so much everyone for the overwhelming support!

Here's a little poll regarding the name of the people in Paralives. How would you like them to be called?

Cheers!
Alex

Continue making us proud! Much love!!

Emily

I love parafolks! That’s so fun. They’re all great options, however I do think they should definitely have para in the word.

Anonymous

I would like it to be spoken out easily. And maybe two different names? 1 for the group (parafolks for example) and 1 for 1 person apart (parapal or para for example) ?☺️

Anonymous

You are the cutest creator ever 😍😍 it‘s so nice to see how much you care about the community and how excited you are about the support!

Anonymous

Im really partial to both parafolks and parapals!

h2o Queen

If we have a universal language like simlish it will be easier to have a distinct language across all characters in the game, it will be interesting to know what dialogue's you will create :)

astronuggie

Omggg, I'm so torn! I love parapeeps/pals and parafolks, and I think Flo is really onto something with being able to use two names!

Andrea Digney

I really like parafoks. Paras for short!

Anonymous

This is awesome! My concern with Parapals/Pals is that it isn't as neutral of a noun for the characters. If one character is doing something unfriendly (being mean/teasing another character), it feels a little strange to call them a Pal of any kind, especially if you're trying to build a dramatic story with villains etc. The Peeps/Parapeeps feels a little too informal - some characters may have very Type A personality tendencies and to call them a Peep of any sort feels weird too. I hope this all makes sense, and thank you again!

Lotus Jayne

Yesss! Parafolks for the whole of the people and parapals for friends/individuals!

Mark Coughlan

Im stuck between Parapals and Parafolks, as long as it has para in the name then ill be happy

In all honesty, I would be really happy with them just being called Paras. (One Para, many Paras)

Eleanor Mosley

It's because you're awesome, and your game is fabulous. We love you! 😍♥️

Simday1

Parafolk is amazing!

Anonymous

I love how inclusive "Folks" sounds, but I wonder how players are going to use it for a single character.

eve

Kinda disappointed that paralivers didn't make the list (just rolls off the title for me), but at least the votes aren't too scattered.

Anonymous

Parafolk seems to clunky to say out loud, IMO

Jojo6716

I love Parafolk... but what about just "Paras?" ... Paras sounds really fluid in sentences I've practiced with... Thanking Wed on discord for the idea!

Jojo6716
>>24891026

"My Para just had his wedding" "Here's my Parafam" "The Paras next door are annoying"

Anonymous

I like "Lels". (From parallel)

Slippers

I voted for Parapeeps but prefer Paras to all of these.

canaggable

I agree with the people saying "para;" it's so easy to say and can easily be singular or plural, where as parafolk is always plural. I do really love "parafolk" as well so maybe that could be their plural/'full' name? Like human vs. humanity. Para vs. parafolk.

Sasha Pugliese

This is the game everyone wants but never been built. Everyone is looking forward to this amazing game!

Anonymous

I think paras or pars (plural)/ par (singular)

kingchris20

I voted for “parapeople”, but I as many others prefer just simply “Para” for short.

Anonymous

I love parafolks or like many people are saying “paras”.

Anonymous

Parapals and Pals sound weird in Portuguese. "My Pals" sounds like a rude version of "My Penis".

Tony

I like just “Paras” :)

Anonymous

I voted for 'Peeps' but I gotta say "Paras" has a much smoother sound to it.

Anonymous

I definitely agree just “para” or “paras” sounds the best!

Anonymous

I agree! Paras sounds great for this instead!

Nida Kamran

I like Paras since it sounds better! Congrats on over 700 paterons!

Anonymous

Hej! I voted for "peeps", but I also think that "Paras" is great!

Anonymous

Paras is my vote

Anonymous

Paras! Short and sweet!

Anonymous

I voted for Parafolk, but I’m loving the sound of Paras even more!

Anonymous

Paras sounds really good to me!

Hestia

What about just “Paras”?

Anonymous

I really like Parafolks

Anonymous

I like Paras!! Para for singular

Anonymous

I would vote Paras too!

cubicpoison

I think maybe we should revote with Paras as an option since so many people seem to like it :)

Anonymous

Parapals is adorable

Anonymous

Parafolks and folks are my picks

Anonymous

Paras would be cute too

Anonymous

Parafolks just sounds right to me.

Anonymous

I like parafolk but also like. Para and para's. as it sounds better as a plural and singular word. :)

Anonymous

I think parafolk could be the word for the general people, and a para could be a singular person :)? I just really enjoy the word folk in general, but it's definitely more plural-sounding

Anonymous

I like just "Para" or "Para's" suggested by Brandyn

sonnavy

Paratrooper??🙈

Anonymous

Paras sounds cute. But the short one-syllable name reminds me too much of just calling the people in Sims Sims.

fateeeee

no matter what i will always call the parafolks pears <3

Anonymous

parafolks sounds cute!

Ann Reinke

Parapals has nice alliteration and looks right to me. Peeps is my lowest vote because of the sugary treat.

Anonymous

Pallies. One pally, two pallies.

Anonymous

what about Parasons? a play on persons :)

Anonymous

I’d love Para as the name!

Anonymous

I like "Paras" and their characteristics can be called "Paraisms"

Anonymous

I like the idea of them being Paras or like Marilyn said Paraisms

Anonymous
>>24916147

I think Pally or pallies would be great. It's kind of like pal but much cuter and more creative.

Anonymous

I think there should be a re-vote with Para/s and Pally/Pallies

Anonymous

Parafolx or Parafolks

Anonymous

I think parapals should be what you call pets.

Anonymous

When will you be done just a estimate?

Anonymous

Maybe Parafolk without the s?

Anonymous

I voted for Parafolks, but I think it sounds better without the s, so just Parafolk. It sounds really cool!

Anonymous

parafolks seems cool

Anonymous

I like “Paras” lol

Crystal Diamond

I like Paralings and Parapeeps way more than parafolks, I hate "parafolks"

Anonymous

I like “paras” as some others have suggested!

So fun to see my maiden name Seidel here!! Did you know it is a German word for a large glass for wheat beer? Sorry to be off topic 😄

Barb Pappalardo

I’ve always disliked the word Folks so I’m leaning towards Peeps but then again those are the Easter marshmallows

Nolan-Sims

I really love either Parapals or Parafolks 💕

kesionna

Hi Alex. First off I would like to say thank you, for creating what I am sure would be the greatest simulation game yet for all of the gamers. Now my question to you, is when you make the cars drivable will the babies be able to ride as well? I know cars were confirmed already but not who would be able to get in them.

Hey the AMA is above if you didn't get your question asked! I'm curious about this as well...

tey711

I didn't vote on any of those name choices. I'd like to throw 'Paras' in the mix since that is what I believe most people will end up calling them anyway since it is human nature to use for short refrences.

Anonymous

Parafolk/Parafolks for other people and a Paracter for the playable one?

Scrungler, The

Parafolks is such a cute name for them, I love all the uses we can get out of "para". Most people will probably call them Paras for short but I think it'd be cute to have the official name be Parafolks
