I will relay this story in point form.


make up application at 9
recording till midnight
card full - with 20m of filming to go...
go to transfer on pc and a slip of the wrist moved a folder in a folder
that corrupted the files apparently
Spent next 5 hours downloading apps in full costume just trying to recover the files so i can continue on, while my make up cracks off my face.
didn't work. birds are now chirping
do the ugly cry for an hour while i wipe off blue make up
cry myself to sleep
wake up and try to download more apps to recover lost files
get back 3. which are, setup, make up, a deleted file i don't need, and walking by the camera (so no real rp)
nothing usable left but have a few more apps still to try....
some recovered files but they are unplayable and i've tried to un-corrupt them unsuccessfully.


wish me luck. i do not have the time to re-record nor do i want to waste more face paint on this... AND now i have an eye infection too so if i do i'll be a pirate alien.

I bit of way more than i can chew which means i need each day for editing and the collab piece is due in 3 days. we know how long i take to edit...

I am editing the little bit of footage i have in the hopes i can apply those edits to the fingers crossed recovered future files. it's very patchy (the make up) due to layers of glue being painted over and i'm trying to fix it digitally.

Sheila, I'm so sorry to hear this has happened. And so soon after last month's setback. You work hard, and I'm afraid nothing said here is going to make it better. Please know your fans continue to support you and are here, should you need us. Of all the reasons I joined your patreon, the speed at which you made videos was not one of them. Quality takes time. As anyone who's ever done anything great is well aware, accidents are inevitable. You've never let me down. Your content is always appreciated and worth the wait. Your welfare matters more than any schedule. Good art can be recreated. Good artists can't. I know you put a great deal of time and work into this. Hope it can be salvaged, but still okay if not. You've got so many amazing ideas in store. This won't be the last. Take care of yourself and that one good remaining eye. Thank you for trying, and for updating us.

Arrrrrrr matey, Shiver me timbers that's a whale of a bummer. But the pirate alien idea sounds cool. Seriously though, I'm so sorry about your eye, and the files, but mostly your eye. Does it hurt much? Feel better and take some time to relax :)

yes, i've been trying all day, even doing coding, to bring the files back. I only really managed 2/10 files, and those were parts that weren't the rp - but patreon bts content, so that's something. i still don't have the video for my collab to hand in which is upsetting, i am buying a card and card reader so i have a back up to start to record on. I looked everywhere for my back up card and couldn't find it! and if i did i have to eject my card and i want to keep it in there as i eye on buying a full version of a software that might bring back my files but its $100 and i am not so keen on spending that much on a "maybe" thanks for still supporting me through this all. I just hate that i wasted so much make up and time on it. but i've wasted way more time trying to revive it to save money on the make up. I feel i can't repeat it. and i can't record without wearing an eye patch and an eye patch AND a mask is a bit too much cover i think...haha.... Ah well! Sometimes things happen!

yeh bloody technology! HAHAHA i feel that! It was very upsetting at the time, i couldn't pull myself together, i think it's just the stress of this time of year. I'm still trying to buy presents that arrive in time, it's all a frazzle here! I hope i can still recover some usable files, we'll see! Thanks for the solidarity!
