Listening back i didn't even edit the noise cancelling and it sounds DECENT???!!! Wahhhh? It was a $300 mic. I should give it another chance! :)

i said i had 52 videos planned but i mean...written...up. Scripts ready. LOL

Your "murrican" accent is coming along nicely. You're doing great with the "r" sound. The reason you're sounding a bit Southern-ish is because there is actually no single American accent, and Southern may be what you've heard most. If you're going for more of a bland sounding American accent, it would be the Midwest style. A great voice for that sound is Johnny Carson, and you can find tons of material from him online.

Heard you talking about the new mic, plans for the year, etc. And then I fell I to a torpor, as it's early morning and I wasn't quite awake. Didn't realize what had happened, and naturally, I thought YouTube went to autoplay and another channel (sounded like Ella, the white rabbit). Awoke and went, wait a minute, this isn't YouTube! This isn't Ella! This is not my beautiful house! This is not my beautiful... well, the point is I didn't recognize it was still you talking. Listened closely for a moment and took me a bit to remember I'd left my tablet on with your patreon audio playing. As others have said, you do the accent well. Better than others have, if I'm being honest. You're a skilled writer, creator, and practical & digital effects artist, but it's equally evident that you're also a talented performer who really gives uniqueness, depth, and authenticity to your characters. I'm so happy you enjoy what you do because you truly are so good at it.

I think it's like when ppl try to be aussie they sound kiwi. Southern is nice and emphasized so it's like almost a parady it's easier to imitate the obvious difference then subtle complexities- i find anyway! Midwest! I've heard the term...i've seen all of supernatural so you would think i had enough experience with mid west accents (is texas mid west?) haha

Texas can be Southernish sounding especially the eastern regions. I don't really know what people sound like in more western areas of Texas, like out near El Paso. What's considered Midwest is more near Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois. Lots of corn fields and dairy farms and boring to drive through.
