Justin Roczniak (Well There’s Your Problem) and the lads walk in a straight line through Los Angeles and leave carnage in their wake as they cover Joel Schumacher’s 1993 boomer-palooza: Falling Down. Topics include LA geography, the fashion of mechanical engineers, and what it means to hold up an entire fast food joint because those darn cashiers won’t serve you your well-deserved Whomlette with a side of Whammy fries.

Happy 32nd anniversary of this movies release

P.A.L.

I think an important aspect of the grocery store scene is that when the shopkeeper asks D-Fence how much the US has given Korea he immediately is flustered and bullshits a non answer. It shows that he was attempting to rely on his own perceived intelligence and authority and when called on it he actually has nothing. No parallels to contemporary US politics of course....

A 15 minute walkable city would have prevented this

This movie answers the question, what if The Network had a lot more walking

Just wanna say that AJ is 200% correct about St. Elmo’s Fire. It’s five movies stacked up in a trenchcoat and all of them involve the most sociopathic 22-year-olds you've ever seen, with only half of them getting anything that even remotely resembles an arc.

Various Ailments

The cat litter thing is just the other cops calling him a pussy

Harles Barkley

Id reccomend yall look into the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre in regards to the whammy burger scene

J

A gym bag full of guns would be so heavy. Like dozens of pounds heavy if ammo is included

J

I always thought the breakfast scene was more a reference to the San Ysidro McDonald's massacre

Korax

I'm mildly disappointed that there was no mention of the Sir Mix-a-lot butt in the background when he shoots up the phone booth.

Nick Gully

SketchUp mentioned! woooooo!

Matthew Koberlein

Another way this movie connects to shitty recent history is that Gavin McInnes, founder of both Vice and the Proud Boys, likes to cosplay as the main character so you'll find photos of him in articles about right wing violence if him in the outfit.

I enjoy Deathwish, a movie that was supposed to be a horror story about a man who descends into a spiral of violence and revenge and can't get out (dir. Sidney Lumet, starring Jack Lemmon). Then Lumet left the project to make Serpico, they cast Bronson, and it became "murder is cool" with a handful of haunting moments that remain.

Plus it has that killer Herbie Hancock score.

Neom would render the premise of this movie obsolete, everyone becomes D-Fens

Fascinating to find out, as someone who has never seen this movie, that a French rap classic is essentially a beat for beat recreation of this movie (J'Pète les Plombs by Disiz)

Roz has one joke for this episode, and god damnit I'm here to hear it again and again.
