The lads hop on their choppers and make for the 4077th as they return to Korea for another installment in their ongoing coverage of the most critically acclaimed sitcoms of all time: MASH. Topics include the evolution of Margaret O’Houlihan, the zaniness of Frank Burns, and how losing some of your best cast members can transform your show into the best version of itself.

I just got off of a 14 hour day, I'm going through a break up, and I'm stressing about bills. Then I just got a notification this episode dropped and I knew everything would be okay. Thank you for following up on the MASH series.

Goatman? I hardly know em

Joseph E.

Worsties seems pretty appropriate.

Yo! I been waiting so long for this, I'm so glad to get another. Love it. Where y'all get all this tea about MASH? Would love to listen to some docs or read books about it.

Em Gravesong

I just realized Homestuck is an epistolary narrative. My apologies to anyone who understands.

BarFly

Jamie Farr's delivery of "I play with dolls!" is incredible and has stuck with me for years.

So when I was a kid, I grew up watching MASH. It was what Dad put on in the last hour or so before bed time. As kids do, they look for people to emulate. I picked Hawkeye. Given that I was ( and often still an ) a shy guy on the spectrum who only comes out of his shell when he's joking or putting on a show... It's hard not to read some of that same social anxiety and masking in Hawkeye.

Alan Skalda is a very famous performer of Norse sagas.

Randy Glenn

Gretzky, as it turns out, is a 51st state guy, so definitely Tim Horseton.

NowhereMan661

I still don't understand the horse thing.

Zachary Kaufman

That was a bad bad bad Alan Alda impression. I could do better and I'm a horse.

I can’t remember if you mentioned this in the first ep, but MASH was broadcast in the UK without the laugh track. The result, IMO, is a show that feels much more raw, much more of a black comedy drama.

Kyle Reesman

You all should watch some Korean War movies done by Korea. I would recommend 71 Into the Fire. The one scene was actually a trigger for my grandma(native Korean)

Kenzie Leigh

I saw a horse at a Tim Horton's in rural Manitoba once. It wasn't playing hockey.

Wilko

Personally, I'm all for "wursties".

Adi

Yeah, we’re never beating the drunk driving allegations. Thanks gordon campbell.

Gorbant

This legit made me laugh out loud

DuosAngel

I love "worsties". Also AJ could have done better than the gretsky pun.

John Leavitt

Dissenting vote: worsties sounds like fans of bratwurst. Why not Cool Voltaires

Max

Came here to say this

Camoose

Just for this episode, I'm going to go to the timm Horton down by the Penobscot river.

Jimmy McMillan

Maybe one day Brian will grow out of inflicting Adventures in Odyssey on people 😄

KaiaBlomst

Excited for “Bangers of M*A*S*H: Busan Drift”

Dragnet 1967 is very different from the original run, way fewer murders, mostly bunko squad and hand-wringing over LSD and marijuana. There's so much unintentional silliness and weirdness it's like surreal acid noir.

Mister Joshua

I have spoken to my friend who works for Canadian border services. He has agreed that if AJ ever crosses into Canada, we shall have a Ludovico machine ready to go with 30 years of Hockey Night In Canada so this doesn't happen again.
