Listening to this episode while making a quilt instead of having Thanksgiving dinner with my terrible family ☺️

The bit about hearing "Crack and cocaine" in the distance inside the castle was hilarious! It's great that y'all add audio to fully realizes your spontaneous jokes.

My mom’s favorite episode (besides Someone To Watch Over Me) was Thank You, God. We listened to it a *lot*. I know she needed to believe that everything was worth giving thanks for, even when it was awful, because of her brother who was very ill all his life and passed away in his late twenties. Growing up near that, you need something to comfort you. I wish she was able to find comfort while also being able to accept that it sucked and was awful and it was okay to think it was awful. Putting a veneer of gratefulness on the grief doesn’t make the grief easier to handle when it bubbles over—and that’s okay, grief is messy and painful. I hope she gets the chance to deconstruct a little more.

On a lighter note, coming back to this episode again, I remember my local children’s theater had to *seek out* a black actress when they put on Sister Act. Next time maybe just do Les Mis again lmao
