While Josh is out building Delta City, Brian and A.J. make their way to the streets of Old Detroit and go toe to metallic boot with the future of law enforcement: Robocop. They discuss Paul Verhoeven’s Looney Tunes aesthetic, the logistics of jaw acting, and the seeming indestructibility of 80’s Nostalgia.

I hadn’t thought of Muzzy in ages!

Muzzy brings me back, I learnt english with it. "I love clocks"

I cannot really listen to something from someone that does not think that Paul Verhoeven was one of the better directors of his generation, and Robocop was one of the best critiques of the end of the Reagan Era, sorry.

I have rewatched Total Recall on the big screen a couple of years ago, and it was AMAZING. All the English I am typing because of Muzzy.

Name the time, name the place, name the color of high waisted pugilist trousers bc I will fight at least 2 of you over the oeuvre of PV (on my second whiskey, not going to spell his name). The way I think of his movies is that they are movies meant for fascist societies or, even more meta, the world in which it takes place. The best example is Starship Troopers which is a film that would be made in a fascist society that is losing a war against the Bugs. Mildly subversive but with a big message of hope at the end as our attractive, square jawed protagonist gets the girl in the end and Zim got the queen too! This theory falls apart when you watch the Invisible Man…

I absolutely joke about the Muzzy ads with multiple people in my life

AJ is the only reason I know what Muzzy is but I regret to inform you that it is in fact real.
