I HAD REDEMPTION! Both the card game and the boardgame! And I played the boardgame by myself because I was homeschooled and such a sad lonely nerd kid. Lmao.

Not to be a total TTRPG nerd, but honestly y'all should look at Tales from the Loop or Kids on Bikes for the system if you actually want to do an Odyssey thing, I think it would be *chef's kiss*

Tales from the Loop was considered the gold standard for the Stranger Things-esque TTRPG genre until Kids on Bikes came out; KoB is probably the better of the two but still worth considering

We also had to practice marginalia in English classes. It did help me later on for when I was doing a close reading of something to write and paper and cite specific places. It was also a fertile ground for comedy. I remember reading a copy of Animal Farm I borrowed from the library when I was in middle school and it had note written in the margin of the first few pages that said "animals can't talk stupid." I think about that note at least once a year.
