Hey everyone, Josh here. Those of you who were around at the end of last year will likely remember our 2022 Year In Review listener call-in/clip show. I had a lot of fun putting it together and loved hearing your thoughts on our show, so we're doing it again this year.

This is where you come in. Whether you've just started listening or have been around for a while, we want to know what our show has meant to, our beloved listeners, this year. So we're giving it back to you to shape our retrospective.

Here are the three ways to participate:

Leave a comment on this post about your favorite TWOAPW moment(s) this year, which episode(s) the moment(s) came from, and the timestamp if you're feeling especially helpful.

Call our listener hotline at ‪(516) 324-8635‬‬ so you can tell us in your own words about your favorite moment, your favorite episode, or just what the show has meant for you overall this year. This number goes straight to voice mail, so have your story ready when you call. This is your chance to appear on the show: we may use the recording of your voicemail, in part or in whole, as part of this episode!

If you can't easily call a US phone number and want to hear your voice in this episode, send an email to worstofallpossibleworlds@gmail.com with an audio file attached (and please, for the love of God, keep it under 90 seconds). As with the hotline, we may use these recordings, in part or in whole, as part of the episode.

Please note: we'll try to get all of you in there, but as we have many more listeners now than we did at this point last year, I may edit or omit responses as time requires.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Poll for engagement: what are you doing to celebrate the arguing season this year?

The Fireproof episode is a huge standout for me. So many incredible jokes at Kirk Caneron's expense, and I'm sorry not sorry but "stunt cunt" is fucking hilarious to me.

Ray of F---ing Sunshine

I will have to find which episodes they're in but the Dr. Dopler bits made me laugh until I cried. If I'm feeling down my roommate will call from the other room "aaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaa....we just missed him." God it's so funny.

Codsternation

I forget when it was but there was one commercial where someone’s partner had a bit and made the joke real about how no one can tell the hosts apart.

Sharon Horwatt

The DC Talk episode where the “Colored People” joke comes back because it always makes me laugh. Also when Brian sings “Slippery People” to the same cadence as “Colored People”.

I've just really appreciated how being a patron to this podcast has given me a place with such a welcoming atmosphere outside of Xitter to basically be a joke reply guy in the comments. I've felt that it's led to some real personal growth. In seriousness, I especially enjoyed the Deus Ex and Castlevania episodes (the show is GOOD Brian!) But the DC Talk one is my favorite. Coming from that same background of "consumerism but make it Jesus flavored" it always means a lot to hear from others who know that world. And to hear AJ be tormented by it, lol. Maybe we can have an episode on his weird religion one day? What'd he call himself, a Cat Holostic?

Dergon

PS I'm playing Deus Ex right now actually, and my name is James Christmas Denton.

Dergon

PPS I just died trying to climb a ladder...

Ben Schrager

The episode on The Last of Us was so right about Israel and so wrong about the entire MLB season.

Elaine Åhlfeldt

So, I've had one specific ad skit in mind for a few months in case you'd do this again. But looking it up now, it turns out that episode came out last year and I must've heard it while catching up on backlog. So -- does "first experienced by a listener in 2023" pass the rules lawyering test for a favorite moment of 2023, or would you rather keep it to material released this year? :)

The Worst of All Possible Worlds

feel free to mention something you like from before, but we’ll only be clipping stuff we released in the past year as part of the episode!

Uncle Jam Wants You

I apologize if my call sounds like shit, there was a fire in the background

BoPod Horsecast

apologies in advance for the three minutes ramble I meant to keep it short and took notes and then didn’t stick to them lmao feel free to instead say that one of my current echolalias is from the company episode at 1:20:13 when josh says “it leaves bobby with this opportunity the to, because *he’s fucking crazy*, be like ‘hey do you wanna marry me.’” The tone cracks me up and my brain cannot let it go

Kevin McCandless

Liked them all but really liked the Rent and Death Stranding episodes.

Peter Waller

Not from this year, but I was listening to episode 15 (learning about T-Gives), and around 1:03:10, there’s some Ong’s Hat prequel action. Don’t know if anyone’s pointed that out
