Ohhhh. Ohohoho. She's still playing him isn't she? She's acknowledging what he wants to hear, which is that self-interest kicked her out of her complacency. She's ameliorating it by admitting it and expressing it. And she's also playing into his assumptions about her in a way that'll bring his guard down, by saying her intent after this is to go back to her cushy life and eat cake. And probably she doesn't even have to lie to do it. She's good, and you're good at writing her.
