Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places, but I feel like a lot of Hades & Persephone retellings cast her into the "innocent maiden" trope and it's so refreshing to see her like this instead. Hands down my favourite Persephone.

Most retellings definitely portray her that way which isn't entirely unfair given that her spring associated name is Kore which means maiden, and she's a passive victim in the original myth, and she's generally the face of kindness in the underworld. But I find innocent maidens boring as hell and will never write one sO

100% agree with you that it's not entirely unfair that she gets cast that way, and I hold no ill will towards stories that choose to interpret her that way! But I also find innocent maidens boring as hell and I just really love the way you write her (and Gwen!!)
