Version 1.2 - Progress report - Week 6 (Patreon)

Here’s your weekly progress report : A full dive into everything that’s been happening behind the scenes in Goth Gasp this week, from dev breakthroughs to the usual chaos.

To be honest, I’ve been kinda fucked up lately.

Making a game like this, mostly alone, in public, with passionate feedback coming from every direction is no joke. I knew it wouldn’t always be fun, but some of the recent comments have hit harder than expected and it’s been messing with my head a little, and I’ve felt the weight of it every time I sit down to write.

That said. I’m still here. Still in the kitchen, still cooking. Just wanted to say that writing might take a little more time this time since I just don't want to disappoint my players again.- - - Right now, it looks like the script for version 1.2 is going to be a bit longer than expected.So I’m probably going to split it into two parts, one dropping in March and the second in April. One of the main reasons is that I don’t want to make you wait too long to meet Airi. She’s honestly been a blast to write and adds a whole new energy to the cast.- - - Nextly - I got completely crushed by my idea of creating the whole sound design of the game but I will try to do my best to ship it with 1.2. Either part one or part two. Idk.If this will crush me completely and will take too much time, I will move it to 1.3 but let's be optimistic. I have one frined who's into music and he might help if I'll pay him enough.I just need to find a way to say "Hey do you want to design a soundtrack for a porn game" in some better words lmao hahah.- - - As for the recent poll:Most of you said you want me to focus on dialogues and jokes, so that’s now the top priority.

Second most voted was redoing some of the sex scenes. So I’ll probably start with reworking Mia’s solo in 1.0 , and maybe add a bonus one at the start of the game to hook new players better.I wanted to edit the scene that's at the end of 1.0 cause it could benefit from some better lighting but my friend pointed out to me that this scene is very iconic, since it's been used as the promo picture on many sites that re-uploaded my game, so this one might stay untouched.Scenes from 1.1 Could use a rework if I'll have enough time but top priority will be making more sex scenes in 1.2 than redoing the ones from 1.1 that look good already.
