Version 1.2 - Progress report - Week 8 & 9 (Patreon)

Here’s your weekly progress report : A full dive into everything that’s been happening behind the scenes in Goth Gasp this week, from dev breakthroughs to the usual chaos.

Sorry, I forgot to post last week cause I was trying to not freak out over shitty valentines.Here's an update of what's been happening in the past two weeks:

I wrote all of the script for the first part of 1.2. And have written around a half of the scenes for the second part. 1.2 became bigger than previous versions because besides Airi I am also introducing Jade to the main cast and I wanted to give both of them room for their personalities to shine. And the decision to split it in two parts is dictated only by me wanting you to play the game earlier. So you wouldn't have to wait sooo much for the new gameplay!

Part one will focus more on Jade and her hidden feelings while closing the Suzzie's redemption chapter and introducing Airi at the same time, and part two will focus mostly on Airi and her shenaningans.

In the meantime I cooked some scenes that will (finally) reveal some of the overarching plots and storylines that will span over many next version. So finally the game's story will have some bigger stakes and goals.I created some new ways of telling and presenting the story that could mix well with usual studio shots and I think it will make the game feel more fresh and funky but I wont share it just yet. Gotta keep some suspense going hehe.

I was sure that I would be done with the script and even with half of the scene shooting by now, or at least by the end of the month but life was just a big pile of shit lately. I lost my job and have to do whatever I can to secure a new one to not go homeless so that's taking a heavy chunk of my time lately. Besides that I needed to take a little break. I was so overworked and so burnt out that I just put the pen down for most of the previous week.

Another thing that kinda slowed the progress a lil on this version's script writing is me learning on my mistakes.I don't want the dialogues to feel rushed like they did in 1.1 and I think that was the best decision I made, since from what I feel right now - 1.2 will have the absolute best storyline I ever wrote. The scenes with heavy feelings hit like a truck and the spicy scenes are so fucking hot that the global warming could be powered by them.

I am mostly back in the kitchen trying to cook up the most gourmet dish for you and I will do my best to deliver it soon. Wish me luck.
