Version 1.3 - Progress report - Weeks 10,11,12 - Work on part 2 started. (Patreon)

Here’s your weekly (or triweekly lol) progress report : A full dive into everything that’s been happening behind the scenes in Goth Gasp this week, from dev breakthroughs to the usual chaos.

As some of you may know from our discord I was away from my home since 3rd sept. Till this weekend. I had to help my friend in another city and after crunching 1.3p1 so hard to make the anniversary deadline, I used this away-from-home time to take a small break from GG and have some rest and get some proper sleep.As some of you may know from our discord, this break ended with me in the hospital with seriously burned legs after a small accident with boiling water at my friend's house. So I'm not gonna bullshit you that I did a lot in the last three weeks cause, well... My situation was a little... Heated. - - - I'm back home now and as my legs is healing, I'm mostly tied to my bed with my laptop, so I just bounce between playing TFD and writing dialogues and scenes for part 2 of 1.3.I have a rough shape of the scenes list now and I even drafted some of them out.I decided to take things little slower with this update cause I want to focus on adding many new features to the game and finally try working on the long promised sound update.I have few ideas for more in game phone apps that could be fun to create but I don't want to spoil everything just yet.Besides my little fire mage cosplay attempt, The release of 1.3 part 1 was a huge success.Suzzie's rework finally made her feel like I wanted her to feel since the beginning and the amount of the new people on the discord, itch and here, on Patreon is blowing my freaking mind.And speaking of the reception... Holy shit, the numbers.We just (literally 10m ago) hit 2k followers on itch while the game is nearing 300 000 views. and 70k downloads. It's honestly insane.Discord is very near to having 300 members and the latest AMA that we did on Saturday was amazing. I really expected to get like 3 questions and a dead channel and you asked WAY WAY MORE and the chat was more alive than ever. I had so much fun I am literally smiling to my screen as I'm typing this. You'll definitely get a special collector card in game for making my evening this fun.On the top of that, for the whole friday and satuday now, Goth Gasp was in the second row in the adult tag on itch. Literaly almost top of the itch page in adult tag. This is honestly INSANE. AND IDK HOW TO NOT STRESS ABOUT THAT BUT OH MY GOD THANK YOU.- - - And the biggest thing from 1.3 is... You.So many of you decided to join the paid tiers that we just broke the $800 barrier.That's literally how much I pay for rent every month.I don't even know what to say. Seriously. I spent a good hour or two today just staring at the number of patrons and refreshing the page to make sure I wasn't hallucinating, because seeing my rent covered by a game I made is just fucking unreal.And more importantly, it means I can safely say that I won't be looking for another part-time job in the upcoming months. I will put all of my time into developing Goth Gasp instead.I'll still have to figure out food, but I know how to open Milly's window, so her fridge is basically my emergency fund.
