Chapter 85: Not So Sweet Home

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cdPtZBakl4GTwYx1SEujd0DYa8RhAfWG54XkOg737g0/edit?usp=sharing

I decided to something new with the chapters and I'd like to hear your thoughts about it, so please do share them.

I'm not the biggest fan of only a google docs link but I also realize that patreon can be kinda arbitrary and shitty about smut posted directly sometimes and I wouldn't want you to get hassled by them.

Bronz Deck

Alternatives of where you would like me to post instead? I can post multiple links at once even if it is a hassle

Bookmaggot

If it's not getting directly posted on patreon so that I can read it right in the email, then wherever it is doesn't really matter to me. Not a huge deal. Same amount of clicks.

Bronz Deck

Well, apologies for the inconvience but do redirect any grievance you have to patreon. At least in exchange for having to put it on Google Docs, I at least formatted it better with more colors and things to make up for it.

Zukuto Yuki

I don't have a problem with it. It sucks that we don't have pictures. But what can you do?

Bronz Deck

I'm working on workarounds for that.

Uudles

I have no problems with you moving to Google Docs. A minor inconvenience at first, but the more you do it, the more people will get accustomed to it. Besides, there are far worse outcomes. I have had to scour the internet, tapping on some really shady links who, with even a minor tap can send you to a completely unrelated site that if you are too slow to close the tab of, will upload a virus to your device…. All for the sake so that I could read some Manga that I can’t find on WebNovel or WEBTOON lmao. But yeah, do whatever you wanna do man, I have no problems with it at all.

Hae-Hyuk Shin

I'm personally not the biggest fan of the Google docs - but this is also because im not really a smut reader so I prefer to read things in app 😅 But if this means it's less of a hassle for you with patreon and their guidelines regarding smut and similar contacts I'll learn to deal.

Colin Peden

I am honestly not fond of clicking a link to read the story, but I understand that patreon has some quirks to deal with. I will say though, keeping the background black is a choice I like. It means less strain for my eyes, so thank you. I am also interested in what other colors you will add for the stories. Will the colors be associated with the type of ticket, bronze, silver, gold, etc or will it be based on something else? Let's how this goes going forward. Also, thanks for the chapter.

Bronz Deck

Thanks for understanding. I play to color tickets depending on their rarity just like the Chaos Gacha website. And releasing on Google Docs means I have WAY more freedom in formatting so I can make the chapters look prettier like centering stuff as seen on this chapter. I'm sorry for the inconvienience but but Patreon's Automod is way too inconsistent for me to be able to risk this kind of stuff.

Bronz Deck

Thanks for understanding. I also don't prefer uploading off platform but I cannot trust Patreon. At least Google Docs lets me format better so that's at least something.

Colin Peden

Well, I am looking forward to how you plan to format the chapters. I also read you are working on adding the pictures to the Google Docs, so another thing I'm looking forward to. 👍

Uzu

Love the idea of using Google docs, I'll be waiting on the workaround regarding the pics. They really bring the story more to life. Great chapter btw, Bronz

TurnkeyFish

Are you going to do this for the r18 only or is this permanent? And, When do you plan to give the MC there missing skill slot?

Bronz Deck

Probably next chapter when he rolls the tickets. And unfortunately this is permament for the foreseeable future until I work out an alternative.

Bronz Deck

Thanks for understanding, it means a lot.

Rauko the varment

Giving how much of a pain in the ass patreon is, I don't mind things this way, you get to write how YOU want to write and they can't do much about it, regardless, love the chapter, the pairing is quite nice and frankly I need MOAR!! TFTC!

RJKY

"Having a Satan on her knees servicing you." Bro needs to pull that Rule 63 trait ticket.

Bronz Deck

...You know, Rule 63 is EXACTLY the average of the Gold Trait ticket he got. If he rolls it, it will be peak comedy.

Loghead101

You gotta do what ya gotta man. I ain’t gonna bitch since I’m still getting quality from you. In regards to the pictures though. I don’t quite know how Patreon flags things but I know another creator Novus’s Fanfiction Works puts the images they use on the chapter main page and they don’t get flagged even though they do use nudes. Hope to still see the pics even if I need to open a second page and open a link to them. Solid chapter, still hoping that the crazy can get fucked outta Katarea. Keep up the solid work bud!

Bronz Deck

Pictures aren't the problem, it's the text detection being "less than optimal" and loving to give false positives, and too many false positives means drastic action. I cannot just post pictures here without the text.

Jacob Faircloth

It's an adjustment, but not totally jarring. I'm fine with this as long as u keep cooking.

RJKY

Amazing, lol.

VictorWeismann

For me, it's completely terrible. As someone who reads using Google Translate, the fact that I can't copy the text and paste it into another Google Docs to translate, or even have the option to translate, is completely ridiculous. I feel like I wasted my money; it would have been better to just wait for chapter 85 in the web novel updates.

Bronz Deck

Sorry, I didn't really consider people who from other languages reading via translate. I changed permissions so that people can copy text etc.
