A Chaotic Traveller's Journey

Chapter 1: A Deal's a Deal

Hey hey people, Bronz here, and I bring you another snippet. I have wanted to write some Multiverse stuff since forever now and have been working on this baby on the side for a while. Hope you guys like it.

Synopsis:

What do you do when offered a chance to travel the vast endless multiverse by an enigmatic patron with the Chaos Gacha by your side?

You accept the offer and spin the wheel of course.

Ok this one seems like it will be really fun, especially with the potential to expand on how the gacha works with the character.

Ok. There’s a couple of questions needed and a few more chapters before I can say anything for certain. Is there a goal? A goal is necessary if only so that you as the author don’t get burnout in not knowing how to proceed. In a fic about infinite possibilities then where to start and where to end? Also how are new worlds introduced? Roll a dice to decide the world sure, but does he need to complete an overarching quest once a world is chosen before he can go back to the Inventory? Or just he can come and go between worlds as he sees fit? Can others cross over to the inventory and go elsewhere? Is Felix just going to have fun however he seems fit or does he want to turn the Inventory into a type of multiversal hub? There are just too many questions right now and I’m sure we’ll get them in future chapters. As for worlds, well I’m sure you’ll give One Piece another shot since you don’t really have to worry about chugging along with the story and be able to come and go as he pleases. I’d also hope you give a shot at worlds you said you don’t really vibe with if only to just gets some items and waifus from there. Also feel like you could give Cyberpunk a shot here if you’re still not sure on a full fic. Really maybe you should do some type of poll if only to get an understanding of where we the audience might want to see you do. Either way, excited to see something new and curious to see how it goes. Do you already have a stockpile and we just get a new every day like the last snippet and do you see this becoming permanent? Either way can’t wait for more!

The Goal is to explore worlds that I otherwise wouldn't write as a full fic ever like Frieren, Demon Slayer etc. to be able to play around with them. He gets sent to the world and does the mission he is given and there is an overarching plot and stuff too though that may go a bit into spoiler territory.

Allright, but can the worlds become permanent connections to the hub and is that a choice he can make? Anytime multiverse shenanigans happen all I wonder beyond the adventures that’ll take place is what the MC is going to build with it all. And I figured that other titles you can’t see making a full fic would be added. Hopefully this may be able to inspire you to try a full fic of those at some point or even do fission AU’s of multiple properties. Like just as an example take Naruto with Chakra and ninjas’s and add in Demon Slayer with demons and breathing styles and maybe a little Fate for the mage craft and extra lore for demons and make a world out of that. Maybe it’ll sound like a mess but I’m just throwing ideas out there. Anyway keep up the great work bud!

As for the other questions, One Piece is definitely one I want to tackle due to not having to worry about pacing, Cyberpunk is definitely one of them too. I like the poll idea. I have a decent stockpile saved up so I'll be releasing it daily in between the scheduled chapters until it dries up. And I sure hope it will be permament as it's incredibly fun to write and lets me explore the inner workings of the Chaos Gacha.

I’m glad there will be a lot more feedback from us on how to proceed with making the story. I do still feel strongly about their being a side objective in using everything that the MC can gain from traveling to these other worlds. That’s pretty much the most fun thing about multiverse stories in that worlds can experience the power, technology, culture and people of other worlds and how those things can clash. He’ll just the idea of being magic and a bunch of magicians to Night City and see how those corpos try to explain it all withimplants or mutations sounds hilarious and teaching it to certain people to be a bigger thorn in the side of the corporations just makes me giddy. And that’s just one example.

There will be revisiting world and world crossing, through not too early on. This Fic is mostly for fun and experimenting, maybe it will give me confidence for working on full versions of such settings later. I have had ideas for Fusion Au's for a while now but they aren't my priority. Of course there will be bringing stuff from some worlds to others, I also find that fun, with the natives trying to figure out the bullshit MC brings to the table is half the fun. Especially when they are trying to understand Chaos Gacha stuff and failing.

This really has a lot of potential. I am looking forward to how this series goes. So, is the dealer the voice of the Chaos Gacha that only Felix has ever met, all others just hear? Or is he just your convenient exposition machine?

Dealer is basically the Liason for the Patron who actually gave Felix the Chaos Gacha. Yuta and Hakari got them through different ways... kinda. So no, the Dealer does not exist in the other works, they are compeltely separate.
