Oh yeah training shards are a good call. This may be fanon that I’m remembering but actual skill shards don’t really stick or just give the skill with no experience with it so the training shards would be for the better. After he’s done he should really try to find a way to contact Regina to at least get in contact with her. Hell if he wants to make a good impression go and see if Skippy happens to be in his alleyway for pickup. He doesn’t have the tech to use it and I imagine Regina will be really thankful for getting her favorite gun back. Small chapter, not much happened but they all don’t need to be bangers. Can’t wait for more man!

There are different kinds, some that download skills into your brain and some that work as a paid subscription to a set of pre programmed skills like that boy in Edgerunners uses. Both are lesser compared to actual training of course. This is 2076 so unless Regina lost that gun a year ago it's not there.

Maybe it can be a gig then. If it takes some more time to find a fixer then he could always go to the NCPD and try to set himself up with their scanner hustle and the bounty system. Won’t be as well paying and could eventually piss the gangs of but he’ll start getting tickets and some gear to sell and use.

Ngl, I am loving this one too! Please give me MOAR!
