I understand how bullshit shiggy is but I still feel like Haki should have Been able to do more damage maybe not stop him but definitely feels like he should have been able to do more damage

Daaaaaamn, a Diamond this early on. It’s almost worth it for having the main antagonist’s enmity from the start. Hopefully he gets some banging rolls from this though just getting two of them still seems a little light despite their ranks. And the fight was messy as hell, which is fair since Hakari doesn’t have any real technique yet. I’m really curious as to how he’s gonna train from this point on. Good stuff man and can’t wait for more. P.S. Did you make a fiction live account with a RWBY/Disco Elysium story on there?

I'm pretty sure shiggy IS pretty damaged. At least a few broken bones, deep bruising from those nasty hits, bleeding from cuts and scrapes, not to mention whatever happened with that nut shot. He isn't on the verge of death but he is most definitely very injured.

Hakari's body is not all that well trained due to a lack of time, and he only had one ability slot available for the fight. Nomu blew through the Bikaku so he has to use something else and Healing light at the dame time. Maybe he'd have done better at peak condition but he is not a good matchup with Shiggy.

So why a fist fight? He's got sticky candy and manchild can't do anything if he gets a nice fingerless glove of hard candy wrapped around his hands. This honestly felt like you made the MC fight like a brute to make the match even instead of fighting smart...

He is low on energy and has to use Healing Light, Candy Paramecia is both expensive and slow, you saw how trying to use it on Shigaraki before getting swept went.

Hakari will definitely need the Diamond ticket from now on. And these are not the last of the rolls he got from USJ, he still has injuries tend to, some more severe than others, thankfully he just got tinker Prosthetics amiright? The fight itself was messy because they both were, Hakari could have fought smarter but the dude was in a torture session more than a fight, and Shigaraki was too fast to fight critically against, thus how they ended up. Yeah I did, I occasionally go live on there, but it's not really a commitment, just something I do for fun.

Yeah, I was wondering whether it was you or a fraud since it was the only story on their and it didn’t show up on your Patreon first. Considering it’s a lot more interactive then it makes sense. It’s really good so far and I’m a sucker for Joker expies. Hopefully it can make the jump to other platforms once you got more chapters.

I feel like that is an artificial nerf though. One piece is full of examples of regular, untrained, people getting devil fruit powers and going absolutely ham on using them. One piece is bad on power scaling sure, but devil fruits are a big feature because they are instantly very powerful and can be slowly increased with training and work.

While One Piece does showcase that, when you have someone who moves faster, reacts faster than you and your ability (Candy Paramecia) is not trained up so it is slow to actually form, then it is insanely difficult to do what you are suggesting about locking the hands down. Also, doesn't Shigaraki's ability kick in as soon as all 5 fingers are touching? Unless Hakari locked his hands in a fist, he would literally decay the candy coating them.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fight, but I have to ask. Will Hakari get, even if only a Bronze Ticket, a ticket for destroying Shigaraki's nuts with that kick? Because ouch, that hurt just to read. I am looking forward to how this plays out, with the clean-up after the USJ. Question, if Hakari gets enough healing abilities, would the Gacha help him do something like merge them together or would he need to roll a trait for that? Like the "Degenerate" skill from Tensura?

My comment said about sealing his hands with fingerless gloves. Ever tried to clench your fingers when they are forcefully spread apart? It's practically impossible to make a fist with something wedged in between the fingers. And fast doesn't mean anything over time. You keep applying things whenever you strike and it builds up over time, also never went for anything that could trip him up or lock him down which is like the first rule of fighting a speedy opponent. For a hardened street gangster he fought like an inexperienced teenager.

True, but even fingerless gloves won't stop him from touching the opposite hand. Unless Hakari specifically took the time to create a glove with an air bubble infront of at least one finger, all the finger would be incontact with the same substance and therefore be able to disintegrate it. In a high speed fight like that one, with an ability he obviously lacks fine control over I doubt it would have worked to try and seal his hands in anyway hort of Shigaraki having his hands in a fist.

I feel that Handjob-Manchild is rather buffed, and MC battle tactics got nerfed, not gonna lie... I mean, sure, Handjob-Manchild took some huge hit, and survived in canon, but still a candy lava showed down his throat, and he would drop dead...
