Reasonable people don’t make for good sorcerers. The strongest “reasonable” person we've met in the series is Nanami, and he's still pretty fucking weird. Reminder, he was a Jujutsu sorcerer, thought it was shit and quit, and then got a well-paying job that he thought was ALSO SHIT, and quit that to do the thing he felt suited him more, which was fighting magical monsters that he knew could be as strong as deities.
