Good shit, Akira. Barrier mastery is a pathway to many fun abilities once you get the hang of it. Lord knows you can just make a shitton of non-consequential binding vows to give yourself an incredibly unfair advantage (cough Sukuna cough). Also, Ali’s faith in him was sweet.

I always love it when you go extra when it comes to the word count for chapters. I love longer chapters but I would never give up your release speed for higher counts. Sometimes though it helps to keep momentum. I could see where you would have likely ended it off with Alucard giving her ultimatum to Luke and Akira’s reaction to it. I’m glad we got to see it through. Yan made it too easy for our boy and Luke while harder was too full of himself and really made it easy for Akira to etch out the win. That is not to lessen our boys victory but Luke really just kept using the same move over and over again when it was barely cutting it. Wonder what kind of core he’ll drop, maybe some speed type core to help Akira reach some proper super human levels outside of his techniques. And I absolutely loved the innovation when it came to the new abilities technique. JJK had some problems that keep me from completely loving it but it’s arguably the best modern day power system available considering the versatility it can offer to those who are willing to play around with it. The only weakness is still a strength since almost 80 to 90% of what people can get out of it will rely on there innate technique and the changes people can make to them. That is rectified here since Akira can and will get more techniques to modify to his whim. And Alucard is feeling like such a proud parent right now. Can’t wait for the aftermath of the whole thing and the bevy of cores to come. Maybe Akira will make some of them into undead considering the boost he’s got now. Great stuff as always man and can’t wait for more!

To be fair to Luke, that move was working really well, considering he was a Vampire and had no qualms about taking any injuries while Akira was barely keeping up. That dude was overpowering Restraing level 5 Alucard, he just didn't expect Akira to lock in like that. That and thankfully Hellsing Vampires are glass cannons. And yes, Alucard is the proudest she has ever been in her life.

He should abuse Binding Vows more, especially with his various curse cores abilities, like the curse corpse one, limiting the count to only 1, but increasing the strength.
