New Guy (Patreon)

Next major story percolating in my head while working on this current chapter (hopefully I can have some smaller, filler arcs between this and the current one). Wanted this guy to feel a bit like a bird, but ended up somewhat Alan Resnick adjacent. He's similar to the witch in the sense that he uses Quintessence do weird magic, but in a different, shittier way since he is much worse at it.

Magic and sorcery as a whole used to be a very difficult study, and something that was inaccessible for the masses. The discovery of Quintessence and its highly conductive affinity to arcane energy led to a boom of a new kind of magic; one that is unregulated, inconsistent, and highly volatile. It's a mix between science and sorcery cobbled together by duct tape and nails.
