What's new at Pure Angst VN Studio

A few months ago I mentioned I wanted to introduce mutually exclusive branches, mini-games, and better animations. I’ve been working hard on improving my skills and have also brought in some hired help to make this possible. You’ll start seeing more of these elements going forward, which should make the experience feel closer to playing a game rather than just reading a visual novel.

In WSoM, you’ll get more of these interactive features. In Heavenly Vows, Hellish Temptations, I’m deliberately keeping fewer branches and choices so it stays closer to a traditional visual novel feel.

I’ve also reached a point where I feel confident enough with my image work to start offering short comics. I can’t promise a fixed number of panels each time, but the goal is to release one short, punchy comic every month. These will feature the VN characters, though not necessarily in the same roles. My plan is to publish one comic + one update each for Heavenly Vows and WSoM every month.

Why your support is needed

Thankfully the RSI I developed from months of long computer sessions wasn’t too severe, and a few weeks of rest got me back on track. Still, I want to be clear, these updates are not something I can throw together in a few hours. Doing everything myself is extremely time-consuming. On top of that, I live in a country with a high cost of living, so the opportunity cost of every hour spent on these projects is significant.

Your support is what makes all of this possible. To keep the studio’s output consistent and sustainable, I really need to reach at least 500 paid patrons. We’ve come a long way in a short time, and I’m genuinely grateful for that. We just need to keep this momentum going a little longer.
