✿ new avatar + process sketches! ✿ (Patreon)

Happy Monday everyone! Thought I’d share what I worked on this weekend, which was a fresh new avi to match the baomii aesthetic this year. I’ve been wanting for my twitter to look a bit more personalized and less industry / portfolio driven, so I’m really happy with the final result!

Honestly, I hesitated to share the evolution of these sketches because they’re truly... not the greatest. But I think it just goes to show that every artist has their bad days (this weekend felt like I forgot how to draw until I didn’t) and that sometimes a million ideas just don’t work out until you get to the right one. I kept struggling with wanting either chibi or more anime style, line vs. lineless, color palette, hairstyle, and finally... we ended up with something. I hope it encourages everyone in some way by knowing art is truly a Process and sometimes (a lot of times) it doesn’t come easy.
