Seaweed Mermaid 🌿 with steps! + Tutorial Results & Feature Friday 💌✨ (Patreon)

Good morning everyone and happy Friday! 🥰✨

Here’s a sneak-peek of my newest mermaid drawing, inspired by the reference you guys voted for! ☺️ I had so much fun with her and I’m so happy she won the vote! I included some steps for you to see how it came together ✨

I also filmed the coloring process of this drawing for this month’s draw with me video and I’ll be posting the video today! 😍🎞 We spent all day editing yesterday so you guys can have a cozy video to watch for your weekend 🥰

I’ll be sharing my thought process and a few coloring tips while I draw too 😌 stay tuned for the video! It’s going up for all Big-Hearted Butterfly patrons and Devoted Dragonfly patrons 🦋✨

In other news, our poll for this month’s tutorial video closed and it looks like the tutorial will be about... Lineart: Techniques & Sketching Tips! 🎉🎈 I am so excited to get started on this tutorial because sketching is one of my favorite things in the world about drawing 🥰 For the next few weeks I’ll be writing my notes and planning for the video, and then I’ll get started on filming! 🥳

Feature Friday: It’s time for another day of artist support! Drop your username in the comments below if you’d like to get your art shared on my Instagram story next Friday 💛 I’ll be sharing artwork from last Friday’s post tonight! ✨

I hope you all have a lovely weekend! ☺️ We’re going to spend the weekend editing the studio vlog, drawing, and playing Breath of the Wild 🌲✨

Love,

Lydia 💌
