I have not watched this movie in a long time. Here’s a fun fact: Sidney & Billy were also in The Craft.

You're working hard for us members and we appreciate it! I love Scream, it's always a good time for me.

Billy definitely killed Drew in the beginning, I noticed how he held his knife and you can hear his voice a bit. Stu dumbass would have been slipping and sliding and she might have survived.

Great reaction can you react to John carpenters vampires

Easily one of the most iconic "Snappy Teen Dialogue" films of the last 35 years, along with Heathers (1989), Jawbreaker, and Clueless. For awhile, a lot of horror fans were claiming Kevin Williamson stole this idea from either There's Nothing Out There (1990) or Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. But I think maybe he was more inspired by 1981's Happy Birthday to Me. At first, it just seems like a killer is targeting a group of friends. But the main character's Mother winds up playing a crucial role in the secret backstory.

I also have a theory that the "point" of Scream has nothing to do with tracking what "smart" or "dumb" decisions characters in horror movies make. I actually think it's a highly observant social commentary about insular Upper Crust wealthy areas and their class-conscious, socially toxic behaviors. Billy did not just compare Maureen Prescott to Sharon Stone out of the blue (he's not that clever). I think the Cheerleader scene highlights this especially well. She's viciously judgmental of Sidney and her Mother. Tatum even mentions that people in the town were talking about Maureen on their own... Plus: how else would Gale Weathers be so popular with teenagers in any town in 1996? These kids' parents are all rich and useless except for "raising the profile of the community." (Reminds me a bit of Wild Things.)

Oh yea, this movie is definitely more nuanced and has a deeper meaning outside of horror tropes. It wouldn't be a Wes Craven film otherwise

*And* Billy and Randy were also together in As Good As It Gets (with Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, etc). (In 1997.)
