Yo! Time to share the news from the past week.

This time I sacrificed a few changelog items, and finally spent some time closing several things that kept bugging me.

The very first thing I tackled was saving the cheat menu password, so you no longer have to enter it every single time.

Also, as some of you already know - I reworked the save/load system. You can now create an unlimited number of save slots.

But! After reworking the save system, I decided that wasn't enough. Since I had already started dealing with this whole thing, I figured I might as well solve it properly once and for all.

So I added returning to the main menu and loading saves directly from the pause menu. Now you can savescum as much as you want (if that even applies to the game, lol). Let me explain:

Originally there was no return to the main menu, nor save loading. You already know that. The reason was that the game's architecture did not allow a game session to be terminated partially - only by completely killing the game process.

I completely rebuilt a system that, at the time, wasn't working the way I wanted. In total, the changes touched more than 150 scripts, but thanks to the engines built-in tools, it wasn't too difficult - mostly, though not entirely, I got away with massive text autoreplacement. I still had to fix plenty of issues manually, and during testing I fixed around 10 crashes that seemed to come out of absolutely nowhere. So I think I've tested everything thoroughly enough to confidently say: we are not coming back to this topic again.

Also, we made our first attempt at creating an original soundtrack for the game. My friend, an aspiring composer, stepped in to help with the music. The nighttime theme in the game is now a fully original composition written specifically for us. I'll talk a bit more about this next week.

I also fixed a number of bugs. Some of them had been around for quite a while because their solutions weren't exactly obvious, and some of them were fairly important.

Main changes:

Added ability to return to the main menu

Added ability to load saves directly from the pause menu

Reworked save/load menus that now allow you to create as many save slots as you want

Added cheat menu password saving

Added the first original soundtrack (night theme)

Bugfixes:

Turns out I actually fucked up the bodyshapes limits unlock. Those of you who reported that not all shapes were unlocked - you were absolutely right. The issue has been fixed, and I tested everything manually.

Completely and finally fixed the broken character lighting when using large nipples size. This was already fixed once before, but it dragged along another issue with broken normals. The problem is now fully resolved: normals are back, lighting behaves properly.

Fixed an issue where the bookshelf ignored empty hotbar slots

Fixed an issue where trading ignored empty hotbar slots (Yeah, there's actually two different issues)

Apparently fixed the item duplication exploit involving the workbench (needs more thorough testing)

I think some of you already guessed from the previous post that this week would inevitably be spent on some not standard stuff. And, well, that's exactly what happened.

I already have a bunch of plans lined up for adding new content next week, so stay tuned.

Thank you all for the support and for playing the game. Doing my best for you guys <3
