Sketchbook July 2025 (Patreon)

For the month of July, I worked Anime Expo (the longest, most difficult convention I've ever done) and had full time hours at the print shop (to cover coworkers quitting, taking vacation, and getting trained) and did nine manga pages for a local girl band (Juliet and the East) plus started a new project with Nova Mali and tried to hit more comms for the talented author Aphy Ray and organized the printing/pre-order for The Shepherd's Sword Volume 1.

CHAT I'M COOKED.

It was all fun, and I'm grateful for all of it, but I didn't get to work on any of my actual comics this month, which was starting to make me feel itchy.

I'm getting back to my normal routine though. It was hard at first, but I'm easing back into it. One of the things that helped was taking a little mini vacation to Crater Lake. And then picking up ceramics. Doing a completely different art form than what I normally do has really expanded my brain and refreshed my creativity. I might have some of these on the table at Flame Con, if I can fly without them getting broken hah

My in person events for the rest of the year are:

Flame Con

Rose City Comic Con

New York Comic Con

Portland Zine Symposium

CALA??? (tbd)

See you out there <3
