January 2023 Sketchbook + Update (Patreon)

I didn't have a lot of drawing this month, because I've been soooo busy! What I do have for you, however, is some collaborative drawings I made with my besties.

And a doodle of me and En's table for ECCC.

UPDATE STUFF

1- En is going to be thumbnailing/penciling one of my upcoming comics, Heave and Thaw. And THANK GOD. They are a storyboard genius, and it's my least favorite part of the comics making process. I can't wait to show you what we're working on. It's for the upcoming Boyish2 anthology. Stay tuned!

2- The Shepherd's Sword is going to maintain its hiatus for a bit longer. My graphic novel How Could You has just begun the thumbnailing stage. Which, as aforementioned, is my LEAST FAVORITE PART aaaaaaa! TSS was started to keep me fresh and sharp while I waited for my book to get out of contract negotiation hell. And then while I waited to get script edits back from my editor. Now that I actually get to draw my book, progress on TSS will slow down a bit. I hope you stick with me during this, and get excited about my book, and look forward to TSS's return!

3- I'm working on a new illustration for Nova and Mali's Classics III (wahoo!) You can see the sketch above! It's a still life in the style of Matisse. But it will be riso printed heh

4- En and I are going to be at ECCC where I will be debuting the print versions of the zinecember zines (Lesbian Gender Outlaw, Heavyweight Desk Jockey World Champ, and Girl Orange) as well as print copies of TSS part 2. I will have them available online shortly after returning from ECCC.
