Sketchbook & Life Update - October 2023 (Patreon)
Content
I didn't sketch a bunch this month, since October was so busy. Here's a little summary of what's up:
At the end of September, it was revealed to me that I needed to ink my entire graphic novel by the beginning of December. That's just two months to draw 210 pages. Oh, and design the book cover. And coordinate a letterer. HELLO? HEY? HELLO??
I went on a camping trip at the beginning of the month to decompress and try to cure some building burnout. When I came back from the trip, I realized I knew what I needed to do... I quit my day job, y'all. Now I do art full time. It's pretty exciting! Art doesn't quiiiiite pay all the bills just yet. It's close. It's very close to covering groceries and rent, not just one or the other. I think now that I'm focusing on my art, I could dedicate time and make the ends meet.
And I am so, SO grateful to everyone here. This is a huge thank you from me to you, each of you, for your support in allowing me to make more work, better work... more and better work. I really appreciate your contribution! I hope How Could You is a really, really good book.
Speaking of How Could You, the first four images are possible book cover ideas! Then some sketches from camping, a little comic from this month, and some commissions (I still owe at least one person a commission; thank you for your patience!)
