Holy moly it's the end of the year. I was having a Bella Swan November, where I spent my time blankly dissociating while working 80 hour weeks to finish my graphic novel inks due to some uh... crunch that was out of my hands. I've said it in my newsletter already, but can we please give my gf En a hand for doing all the cooking and dishes while I was in the inking mines?

You might have noticed there was no sketchbook update for November. That's because pretty much the ONLY THING I DREW was my goddamn book 😂💀⚰️ I'm taking this first week in December to catch up on things I neglected during that time and also decompress with some games. It was grim. I uninstalled Overwatch from my computer. I walked through this life as a zombie. I quit my day job. Now I have to face the consequences (ex., make more nsfw content)

My book, How Could You (I really should start referring to it by name instead of ambiguously "my book"), is in the final stages of production. I'm going to color it for the next three months and then wham-o! It's done! It'll go to the printers and start its pre-sale/pre-ordering shtick towards the second half of 2024.

Upcoming events: I'll be at Fan Expo Portland (January 12-14), Emerald City Comic Con (Feb 29 - Mar 3), and I just got word about my acceptance to Squatchcon (Mar 21-24) in Port Angeles! I've never been to Squatchcon, it seems like a smaller, more chill event. I'm just happy to be in Port Angeles again. En and I stopped by last summer while on a camping trip, and we have been wanting to go again and spend more time there. AND we'll be at Mid Valley Comic Art Expo (April 20-21), another smaller event that we've never done before, but my goal for 2024 is to do more cool local events, so I'm pretty stoked. After that? VanCAF in May?? PERHAPS?? (Jared I know you aren't subbed to my Patreon, but I love VanCAF so much and would love to table again pretty pretty pretty please ily thanks)

I'm also making major improvements to my table set up. And some new kinds of art (washi tape.... coming soon... after that.... textiles? who's to say)

Anyway, I'm excited to be entering the "art is my full time job" chapter of my life, and this is all part of that. Some other goals I have for 2024 are: journal/water/walk morning routine, set up PR (book tour?) for How Could You, hike/camp every month (a goal I achieved this year and would like to do again), and make more stuff for Patreon.

Okay, that's enough out of me. Thank you all sincerely from the bottom of my heart for being here and supporting me and being so very kind. This new chapter of my life couldn't happen without you, and I won't ever forget that for a moment. Thank you! Love you! Be good!

PS: Oct & Nov mail club rewards have been sent out as of Dec 4, so keep your eyes peeled on your mailboxes! If you moved recently, don't forget to update your mailing address in Patreon. Ok bye for real!
