Update 7.1.11 (Patreon)

Hi Everyone!

The latest update of Stacher, Version 7.1.11, was released just moments ago. If you haven't received it yet, be on the lookout!

Last update was more maintenance oriented. This update's features were far more fun to implement, and I'm excited to share them with you!

URL Detection

This was in the top 5 requested features in the Poll that was posted at the end of 2025. You can check out that poll here.

You'll find a new tab in the Settings window labeled URL Detection.

This tab will allow you to create and manage patterns that will automatically activate a desired configuration when certain URLs are added into Stacher. Use this to automatically configure output location or media format based on the URL that you paste into Stacher.

Updated Library Card UX

A relatively minor update, but with intentions to improve the UI a bit, media cards in the Library have been updated with new padding, tolerances, hover overlays, information, and functionality.

New Grouped View in Library

Stacher's library has a card and list view that allows you to see content individually. The new view will allow you to see content grouped into sections based on a grouping filter like Playlist, Tag, etc.

Activate the group view with the new "Grouped View" icon in the segmented control on the right side of the Search box.

Each grouping appears as a horizontally scroll-able row. You can use the "See All" at any point to see all of the contents of a group in the list or card view. Additionally, you can easily queue all content within a group to Stacher's media player at once.

Additionally, the Drag and Drop functionality in Stacher's Library has been updated to show and updated "Stacked Thumbnails" UI. Multiple files can also be dragged and dropped from Stacher into a 3rd party application/tool for project editing, playback, storage, etc.

Everything Else

There were additional smaller bug fixes and improvements made based on feedback from you guys through the developer chat and feedback system. A full change log is always available at https://changelog.stacher.io

Improved Language Packs/Fixed missing translations.

Updated the Hotkeys Tab UI/UX

Fixed overflowing tool-tips

Improved handling of long file paths/strings in the Library Player details view

Fixed issue with thumbnail overlays not appearing if thumbnail previews are disabled in the settings window

Fixed bug with notifications unintentionally appearing for a subset of users

Additionally, an updated version of the licensing server and API's were pushed out earlier this week. These changes aim to improve any issues users could experience when trying to activate their license key. I believe this only impacted a small subset of users, but let me know if any of you ever have issues activating or managing your license keys!
