Captain Hardcore Quest is fully compatible with Quest 3! (Patreon)

Greetings everyone!

I was excited to try out the new mixed reality capabilities of the Quest 3 and after some testing I'm happy to say the game already works perfectly on Q3!

As long as you have version 0.8.1 or later the passthrough will work in full colour. It's a nice upgrade on the quest 2 black and white passthrough, and I'll be exploring what's possible with the new capabilities of Quest 3 to take advantage of this!

I had the chance to try it out already and the quality is quite stunning. I hope we will get functions to interact with surfaces that are detected by the quest.

I keep getting an error when trying to install the .obb file and it causes the quest 3 to disconnect so I have to reconnect to try again. Doesn't work at all though. Any fix?

I got a quest 3. I uninstalled Captain hardcore from my quest 2 and installed it on the new 3. I am a $10 a month tier member. When I tried the activation key it said I was not in the right tier to access the program?

Hi, it may be worth trying a different USB cable and USB port to start with. If that doesn't work, there is a file in the the download called "install.bat" that you should run, first extract all of the downloaded files, connect your headset to your PC with the link cable, and make sure you are on the link dash in the headset, then run the "install.bat" file, this should remove the old version completely and install the new version.

I figured it out by moving the OBB file onto the quest manually through the PC into the correct folder. It was a very slow transfer so it could very well have been the cable. I was using the one that came with the Quest 3 and it isn't a fast transfer cable.

Where do you get the obb file? So far I can only find the apk and how do you install both at the same time?

The quest download is a zip file; inside there is an Install folder which has both files. You install them both using the apk installer of Sidequest Advanced

How do you activate bathroom mode I double tap the side of the quest 3 to enter pass through and it just brings up the menu asking if I want to quit the game?

Is there a way to load other scenes other members have created? Would make life a lot easier with more crowdsourcing

Hi, to get to passthrough mode, open the in game menu with the B button, then click on the green load/save icon on the left and click New, this will show you the different environments you can load. There you can select the passthrough level.

Should I everytime enter a passcode from Patreon to run Oculus app, or is there any way to save it? It asking for a code every launch

I just sideloaded .10 to quest 3 and I see it under unknown sources but when i load it , it just goes black screen and eventually quits after a few seconds (30?)...I can see the unreal engine 'active' in the tray, but it doesnt launch anything. Any tips?

Do you think it would be feasible to allow more or at least another material texture slot to be active and user definable for Quest now as 3 has more processing power? Normal, Bump and spec preferred in this order.

tried to do the update. Totally not working now. I can't even get the previous version to reload. I am getting the 3 dots while it is trying to start up. Any ideas? reloaded Sidequest also.

Sometimes the files don't get deleted properly when you uninstall and blocks the new version from installing. You could try using the auto installer: There is a file in the the 0.11 download called "install.bat" that you should run, first extract all of the 0.11 download files, connect your headset to your PC with the link cable, and make sure you are on the link dash in the headset, then run the "install.bat" file, this should remove the old version completely and install the new version.

It is still not working. The .BAT file has an error and i guess not finding the quest 3. After doing all of this. I am having issues connecting the bluetooth to phone. I have found how to delete directlly from the headsets storage. But it is still not working. I dont want to have to reset headset to factory and start over with everything on it.

I had this issue too, the fix was to orientate the models using the right control stick when you import them, rather than twisting their control spheres. Also be careful when you reposition them how you rotate those spheres.

I'm having an issue installing the newest version as well. Can't install with sidequest, I get an issue saying the file doesnmt match previous version. And when I run the install.bat, that fails as well stating the system cannot find the specified path. I have uninstalled the oculus link software, reinstalled,and am still getting the error. I have sideloaded other games, so I know it works. Developer mode is on etc.

installed it on meta quest 3s stuck on patreon key code. FIrst error 200 get another key. Then (403) First install no previous.
