Happy Halloween! (Patreon)

As the light grows dim and the spirits begin their yearly dance, the hunt begins in earnest. A yearning for sweet things that pulls hungry, wishful seekers onto strange pathways. Farther and farther from home, farther and farther from the ordinary. The chill presses in with the dark, and it's all one can do to take a deep breath, to stoke that internal heat, to slow all movement only to what's necessary. Wrapped in comfort. In fur and fleece. A shield against the cold that leads thoughts further toward that fuzzy yearning.

And yet one step, one fall, one drop, one tumble, and one might find themselves lost.

And what happens to lost creatures who strayed from the paths laid out for them? I'm sure you've heard such stories before...
