It's time for Backloggd's final update of the year! It's been a wild ride from the launch of the new home page back in February to the addition of Series in April. Now it's time to close things out...

Genuinely who aksed for giving games likes? What does that even do? If i want people to know I like a game ill just give it ahigh rating.

MayoPotato

I suppose it's because it's also a feature on letterboxd. I don't really mind the feature personally and while I agree with your perspective to some degree there's also something nice about just clicked the like button if you were a fan of the game lol

For people like me who love a game like Rogue Warrior but it's absolute trash. It's a 1-1½ star game if we're being real but i love it

Genuinely grateful for this feature as someone who plays and loves a lot of trash games

Then just give it a high review? If you like the game you wouldnt intentionally give it a low review.

Some people don't like rating stuff and prefer to just like or not like them. If you don't see the use for it, don't use it.

The possibility of liking a game without having played it exists. Also you can play a game, like it, and still give it 1 star.
