Frozen Throne | Free Animated Battle Map Pack (Patreon)

Monolithic and jagged, a massive throne sculpted entirely from pure, crystalline ice sits atop a desolate mountain spire. Bound by massive iron chains, the frosty steps lead to a seat surrounded by towering ice spikes and flickering blue braziers. Swept by perpetual blizzards under a dark sky, this frozen peak serves as the ultimate battleground to challenge a monarch of frost and death.

Encounter Tactics

Phase 1: Start on map p1. When the BBEG drops to around half health or the combat begins to drag, transition to Phase 2.

Phase 2: Switch to map p2. The ice ledge begins to shudder, signaling to the party that it could collapse at any second. To ramp up the tension, have the BBEG use AoE attacks, forcing players to duck behind ice cover and venture back onto the fragile ledge.

Phase 3: When the BBEG drops to 25% HP, switch to map p3. The ledge collapses into the depths, drastically shrinking the arena. The BBEG unleashes its deadliest melee attacks, while flying minions attempt to shove or fling the party into the bottomless abyss.

This map pack has 3 versions and comes in the following formats:

Full HD WEBM (VP9) and WEBP files [1920×1080 px], gridless, under 30 MB;

Optional Full HD WEBM (VP9) version under 20 MB for platforms with upload limits;

Foundry scene .json file with walls.

4K MP4 and PNG files [3840×2160 px], gridless.
