A relationship drama mod for The Sims 4

Affairs, suspicious messages, hidden parentage and secrets that don’t stay secret for long.

Love, Lies & Scandals adds connected relationship drama to your save, giving Sims ways to investigate, confess, cover their tracks, confront each other and work through the consequences.

Affairs & suspicious behavior

The mod follows your Sims’ existing Romantic Boundaries when tracking supported romantic interactions.

Witnesses, messages, unexplained absences, gifts and receipts can leave clues. Sims can investigate suspicious behavior, receive anonymous tips or learn something from a friend.

Suspicion isn’t automatically proof. An investigation may turn up nothing, and an affair partner may not even know another relationship exists.

Social interactions & confrontations

Click another Sim and open Love, Lies & Scandals to find the conversations available for that situation.

Sims can:

Confess everything or admit only part of the truth.

Deny accusations, make excuses or blame their partner.

Present evidence and ask who else knew.

Demand honesty, commitment or an end to the affair.

Confront an affair partner, end the affair or ask for time apart.

These conversations appear in the normal interaction queue and can be canceled. Private confessions tell the Sim involved in the conversation; absent partners don’t automatically learn what happened.

Rumors, cover-ups & scandals

Secrets can spread through witnesses and confidants. Sims can share information, start false rumors, ask friends for alibis or ask someone to keep quiet. Friends can refuse to help.

Deleting a Sim’s own messages won’t erase someone else’s copies or what a witness saw. False accusations can also be investigated and corrected.

Public exposure can affect friendships and reputation, cause family members to take sides and make gatherings uncomfortable. Sims can make public apologies, while optional workplace consequences and adult blackmail add further consequences.

Secret children & parentage tests

Biological parentage can be concealed while another Sim is believed to be the parent. The biological family tree stays intact the mod tracks what Sims believe separately.

Order a private parentage test, wait for the result and decide whether to share it or keep it secret. Tests default to §75 and one Sim day, with adjustable cost and waiting time.

A negative result rules out the tested Sim without automatically revealing another parent’s identity.

Children can ask for the truth, react to being lied to, receive reassurance, connect with a known biological parent and meet half-siblings. Their relationship with the parent who raised them can continue alongside those discoveries.

Trust & emotional reactions

Rebuilding trust takes honesty, promises, boundaries and consistent behavior. Repeated betrayal makes recovery harder, and an ongoing affair can prevent progress.

Choose how much drama you want

Autonomy starts off. Enable it when you want background developments, adjust intensity for played and unplayed households, toggle individual systems or exclude households entirely.

The player overview shows recorded affairs, evidence, parentage secrets and who knows what. Viewing those records doesn’t give your Sim that knowledge.

Requirements & installation

The Sims 4 base game

jellypaws Hub v1.0.0 or newer, downloaded separately

Both matching .package and .ts4script files

Custom Content and Script Mods enabled

Keep the script file no more than one folder deep inside Mods, then restart your game.

RPO, MCCC, PandaSama Childbirth, WonderfulWhims and WickedWhims are optional. They aren’t needed for the core features. Unsupported custom romantic interactions may not create affair records.

Please note

Settings and story records are saved locally in _LoveLiesScandalsData beside the mod. If you receive a mod guard alert, it's because it saves the mods data to your mods folder as a .json. Keep that folder when updating so your preferences and recorded drama are preserved.
