soap's wolf has joined the conversation and turns out, he's a lot less patient (but maybe a push is just what they needed....)

edit: it is kind of funny to witness these two lovebirds in the larger context of the cluster-fuck they're in, but i feel slightly compelled to defend their behaviour since I feel like they're coming off pretty irresponsibly here (and they are being irresponsible for sure, but not without good reason!!!)

They're not heartless/uncaring about the Gaz situation - they genuinely have no idea he's in deep trouble right now. Last time they heard from him, it seemed like he'd incapacitated (?) Valeria but there was some struggle, and Rudy and Ghost were being sent as backup before Ghost had to leave to find Soap. They have no reason to assume that Ale, Rudy and Gaz aren't battered but relatively fine and on their way to rendezvous.

They are both hopped up on adrenaline and some considerable primal energy considering Ghost just dug a bullet that was killing Soap out of his body with his tongue. We've established that monsters consuming blood is a bit like taking a stimulant, and to Soap's wolf in particular it is very attractive.

(also ghost was definitely thinking soap might die here, so the relief of him healing that wound is doing a lot right now)

Soap's wolf (which is still him, it's always him) has been established as being a version of him with far less inhibitions, and far more spontaneous and selfish ("Sure, but harder to wrangle. Can understand orders well enough, doesn't mean he'll follow them." - Gaz, back in Cockatrice (Part 2). The concentrated pain of the bullet removal brought his wolf back to the forefront as a defense mechanism, and turned out his wolf liked what he saw and is now acting on it.
