Monster Exploration - Whitewake (Patreon)

Amalgamates are the creatures that crawl out of the Whitewake fissures, and terrorise whatever's in their path. Wavebreak officers are dispatched to deal with them with specialised tools, as attempting to strike them with normal weapons would just result in those getting absorbed as well. While it's hard to convey in a static medium like a comic, I imagine the dark dappled patterning on their body undulating as they move, kind of how you'd imagine light rays to shift when shining through the surface of water :)
