Warning email from Patreon (Patreon)

I received a message that I violated their community guidelines.

I must literally delete the "bad" content to continue on Patreon.

The message does not indicate exactly which rules I violated, but there is no doubt that "Friends" did not please them with something.

Maybe I was reported, probably not a contributor. So I am disappointed and feel betrayed.

I feel you have a right to know about this.

I suspect they considered the characters underage. This is the only explanation that comes to my mind.

Will you go on with the project in any way? For the sake of the project I don't mind if you publish it open just to see it finished and also It could be a chance to get more patrons.

Could you just put a disclaimer at the beginning of the series or like a little watermark or something

It doesn't matter if it's openly published or closed. If I don't remove this my page will be blocked. The saddest thing is that Patreon also prohibits publishing works on third-party resources.

2026-09-07 11:00 I saw other patreon had the same that happened to you i think it was about underage and he deleted all his content end of story he reupload everything just like it was before and said i got scared over nothing i can give you his page if you wanna ask him

I'm that way too. If one character is borderline with no evidence he/she is above 18, they would take no risk and reject the whole story. The problem is not them, it is the law.

I don't remember if I listed their age, but it might be possible to solve this problem by changing the history to include their age at the beginning.

I think in the future as long as you make it clear your characters are all over the age of consent you should be fine. A disclaimer at the beginning that state that all characters are over 18. I know some countries have lower ages of consent but 18 seems to be the sweet spot for most. I do a lot of work with Disney and Marvel so I know all about jumping through hoops for projects.

post your folders in dropbox or google drive, and give out monthly passwords, 9 of 10 who do that never get an e-mail from patreon again!:P and as a bonus, it would help patrons access your work if they don't have to scroll miles of posts just to get a comic complete!;P PS: i'm a LOCKED fan of your "True Nature" series!>:D

doesent always work, patreon tends to go nazi if the characters look like they could be underage, patreon doesent want adult content here now that they made it big thanks to it, so attempting to reason with them regarding things such as this is out of the question, its do as they say or gtfo quite literally(dont forget that content published by artists here on any other platform is subject to patreons guidelines too if it can be linked to them)
