i was tired of DRAAAAAGGING out getting into &team, so i decided to just get into EVERYTHING. i got into all of the mvs and other special videos in a playlist created for me a few months ago! i was a bit urgent abt going fast in this video, but at 45min you will see that i slow down a lot and am not in the same rush. apologies for all the coughs and weird cuts lmao, recording this video was bizarrely difficult despite the premise of it not being! WHEN WILL I LEARN NOT TO HIT ENTER EVER. Anyway. At last!!! I'm so jazzed!!! Super glad Harmony built you a more manageable list than my fuckin Database of Doom! Three cheers for Harmony. :D Not even going to attempt to explain the lore tbh, it gets pretty convoluted by the current day. Just pay attention to the emotional core, that generally comes through intact (especially in their non-MV renditions, just watch them dance and they'll get it across lol). Go in Blind is my favourite song of theirs (followed VERY closely by Samidare, and then Koegawari) and the MV makes me soooooo maaaaaaad lmfaooooo The choreo for it is so so cool and the lyrics are so emotionally resonant but it SKIPS the coolest choreo bit (with the blindfolds) and doesn't match the shots to the emotional arc at ALL and everything is so confusing you can't even really discern the presence of a plot (let alone make sense of it) so it's just big flashy disconnected chunks of Stuff and and and auggghHHHH [GRUDGE] (If anyone else reading this loves that MV I'm so sorry I swear I'm not judging you and I would love to understand what someone who loves it sees when they watch it so please lmk) A-Anyway. PART II because I'm so bad at this. - The "frog" bit in Maybe is a wordplay, maybe my favourite in their entire discography (which uses them a lot): カエル (kaeru, noun) means "frog", and 帰る (kaeru, verb) means "return (to)". The title of the song in Japanese is Kimi ni Kaeru, which can be read EITHER "Return to You" or "A Frog to You" à la Princess and the Frog. It's so cute, I can't. And I love that music video just because they had so much fun just rolling around being bffs the whole time, it warmed my heart. The OT9 delayed shot on the hillside where they fall over the moment after the shutter goes... ;_; my boys. - BIG SUKIIIII my GIRL. surprised it wasn't mentioned in the guide that this was REALLY a labour of love in that K choreographed the entire thing (delighted by how often you commented on it, he had SO much fun with it) and they produced the video themselves (yes including that insane angle). like obviously they still got the use of company stuff and expertise, they didn't have to do it ALL from scratch, but it had like a $10 budget and it wouldn't exist at all if they hadn't pushed for it and handled so much of the work on their own. I love it I love it I love them. (please watch a live performance, hopefully Harmony has already pointed you to a good one because it was MADE to be live and those last few seconds after they throw the hats off are consistently breathtaking) - I love Run Wild so much too, they have a BALL performing it and the EDM remix is suuuper fun. everyone loves the pocket move. also blond mullet Nico was devastating and miss him every day. - I love Lunatic but -- disclaimer, I know fuck-all about fashion -- I do not fw the blue velour outfits lmao. BLOND MULLET NICO THO. AUGH. A U G H - hahahaha I knew it, I KNEW you were going to be a Mismatch guy. I'm one of the very few who didn't vibe with it super hard at first blush, but it grew on me really fast because of how much LUNÉ and the team themselves love it! it's so endearing. :D (I was braced so hard for "wanna get it on with you, do ya" and yup there you go! crazy line. crazy.) right so I should go to bed but I'm sooooooooooo glad you did this so you can actually listen to their music now lmao, and I'm really looking forward to whatever's next! very personally and biased-ly the fixed-cam dances practices are what I would make every reactor watch if it was the only thing they were ever going to watch, I think &TEAM is at its emotional strongest when they're dancing with as few distractions as possible in the way. but the moving cams and Studio Chooms and performance videos are ALMOST as amazing, and they're just a whole different animal live, to the surprise of no one. I really wonder which live performances have been recommended to you so far, and if I should make a list too, because I have some rarer Japan-only stuff saved that's Incredible and that I would be happy to share. I make notes in my spreadsheet of the ones where the live vocals are clearest, too. couldn't hurt, right, even if YOU don't end up using it?

i have pobs of the big suki outfits (minus the hats) and that’s one of my biggest flexes as a luné the video was a giant present for luné! it was in high demand so k convinced the company to let them do it, the members made a lot of decisions for it and produced it themselves, k had already created the entire choreo on his own, and it was released on one of the most romantic days of the year (white day is sort of a second valentine’s day)
